AND the Dessert Buffet:sad1:

Last cruise we had late seating and imagine my surprise when I found out there was more food for the Pirate party: Didn't have 1 ounce of room in my tummy. And the desserts, we walked out of our restaurant only to find the line to Lumierre's had already started and was nearly back through the Promenade Lounge. Took LOTS of pretty pictures. Didn't eat an ounce there either. :rolleyes1

This time we have main seating and though it is earlier than we would normally eat I am happy to be able to sample stuff later in the evening. I suspect this will have me working quite a bit to get rid of some cruise weight after the fact. But it'll be worth it:woohoo:

Great....now what to do? :rolleyes1

We was on the main seating on the wonder and we didn't feel rushed infact they kept trying to get dh to try all the diferent starters.
We normally eat later while on holiday but on the cruise the main seating suits us better but as tiggerpooh4 says we are also early risers so we can be off the ship at the ports as soon as they let us. It might be a different story this year with two teenagers wanting their beauty sleep:cloud9:

Yip you can have breakfast at any time between the hours that they are open except the character breakfast.

Decisions, decisions! So, just because you have late dining, you can eat breakfast anytime except the character breakfast? I'm so :confused3...
I do not want anymore decisions:rotfl: ....
Thought I was doing well due to the MIL liking to stay around after dinner and having her cup of coffee and chatting. Had read on here that they kind of 'rush you out' of the main dining...For those of you that do main dining, do you feel like that?

It's times like these ..."Would someone just tell me what to do?":rotfl:

Rushed? :confused3 Nope. We feel the opposite. Dinner can last 1 1/2 hour to 2 hours. With two kids that are easily bored and want to go to the clubs, this is too long for us. We actually ask on the first day for the servers to get us out fast. You can easily sit there for over 45 minutes until you see your appetizers if you say nothing.

Speaking of the Pirate Night buffet, this is early before the desserts are bought out.

:goodvibes Just me again folks! Quick question for most of you...
Which do you prefer ~ Main or late dining?

I picked main dining when I first booked our cruise. Wasn't really thinking about it and thought 5:30 or so was fine. Then I remembered when my dd and I were on RCCL and it seemed like we had to 'rush' to get there. So I changed to late dining.

I was fine with that (don't usually eat at 8:30pm normally) so that we'd have plenty of time and could even order room service snacks while getting ready for the nights activities.

Then....:scared1: today I read where late dining means you have a 9:30 breakfast? Is this right? We are early risers so 9:30 seems pretty late.

Which have you picked and what do you prefer?

Thanks!

We picked main dining because DH has an issue sometimes with acid reflux and the earlier the better for us. Another reason is that we don't really enjoy the musical shows so we plan on trying to get in some pool time while most other people are doing that or are at late dinner. I also want to make sure I have room for the pirate dinner and dessert buffet.

shameless picture bump. One of of fellow cruisers that missed the ship due to being late from an excusion. :rotfl2:

Love all these pictures guys!!! Well, wonder if the TA will want to hear from me yet again? We'll see, that's the one thing I like (and yes, sometimes dislike)about these boards, all the differing opinions. But for newbies:scared1:, sometimes it's just hard!!! Thanks for all y'alls input though. I do feel better when I know veterans are happy with their decisions and why.

Hope your Sundays have been restful and fun! I'm already gearing up for another COUNTDOWN:goodvibes!

Thanks y'all!

Good morning fellow cruisers. It is that time of the month again. Another month has gone by.
We now have only

months to go to the Magic. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Good evening cruisers

Hope your week has been going better than mine. I'm glad I'm off tomorrow:thumbsup2

I mentioned the Dessert Buffet the other night but did not have the time nor the inclination to post pictures. Time to rectify that I think. 7 months until the next buffet. I defeintely plan on having room in my tummy for this 1:cutie:

Nope. This is just the Dessert Buffet in Lumiere's. Its on a different night than the Pirate party. That buffet is out on deck. I think they called it the Midnight Dessert Buffet, but it started earlier than that and I'm pretty sure went later than that before it was all done too.

:wave2:Hey everyone! Kind of quiet here...think we need a picture to keep us motivated! Anyone?

How about for you veterans telling us your favorite excursions? To help us newbies decide on what we want to try? Any suggestions? Besides the airplane ducking on one of the ports.:scared1: Sorry, with hubby being an air traffic controller, don't think I could stand it....

Our favorite excursion is parasailing at CC. It's like being a bird:)
