Hey everyone! For you experts...what's your fav thing to do on St Thomas? Thought about St Johns, then Magens Bay, then talked to the inlaws who mentioned just grabbing a taxi/van to sightsee (so we can get to the Belgian chocolate shoppe) and tour. Any suggestions?
They don't want the skyride (we've all done that), no snorkeling (for them), don't want underwater submarine (dad gets claustrophobic)...so any other ideas?
A-n-d if we just 'get off' the ship and get a taxi/van what do we look for? In other words, out last trip to St Martin, dd and I got on a local bus, they only spoke spanish? and we wondered if we'd ever make it back to the ship!:lmao:

For the newbie's crashing the weeding here is a pic of the Heads Up bar where you pick up your konk cooler. :cool1:

Ok, great. Now where do we sit to get a good view of the vows:wizard:

For those of you who are new to the thread or still on the fence about playing just an FYI that the deadline to sign up is Tuesday July 26th. When I go to bed that night sign-ups will be CLOSED

If you do not yet have PM privileges, my email is moluvsdisneymagic@cox.net. Feel free to sign up that way.

We are closing early, because we have players heading down early for extended vacations as well as international travelers. So they all need numbers early.

Thanks and hope to see you all play:thumbsup2

The Belgian chocolate shop sounds great we might have to give that a go. I have cancelled our beach excursions for st Thomas & st Martin I think we will have a wee shop and the skyride then back on board.

Just a heads up for those of you who are interested::thumbsup2

There is not really anyplace to sit and crash the wedding. Here is a pic of a wedding last year on CC. The Heads Up bar and it's seating are behind this view. The weddings on CC are real short. I would say 20-30 minutes depending on what the wedding party wants. Bethshaya can elaborate on the how long it would be. You would most likely finish your konk cooler and it will be done.

Oooooooh 2 for 1. :cool1:

Hmmm maybe I need to have something else to drink during the wedding and save myself for the special:idea:

I would like to stress that this is not advertised, I have been told about the night before on the ship by a bartender who would be working at the bar the next day. Usaly by the bartenders working Rockin Bar D.

I won't tell a soul:thumbsup2 With any luck I'll actually remember to show up at this time. Or hit Rockin D the night before...........makes me wonder what what the shows are for our cruisepopcorn::

However there is still time for stragglers to hop on board.

July 26th is the final date. So get hopping if you want to play with us. PM or my email is fine for signing up:thumbsup2

The Magic at CC in 10/2010

Thanks! Isn't it a Majestic looking ship? Can't wait to see all that Magic up close and personally!

Here's a question for you veterans: Do you book the Magic over the Wonder for a reason? Or are they both the same and you just book according to excursions? Just curious, we booked this by default because of the dates available...Did I want a shorter Dream cruise? Or a longer Magic?...I chose the Magic due to the length...If it was gonna be my first Disney cruise, I wanted as much and as long as possible!:goodvibes

I have been on both the Wonder and Magic and they are both great ships with great crews. The layouts are almost the same therefore you chose which ship based on the itinerary. Prior to this year the Wonder just did the 3/4/5 day Bahama run whereas the Magic did the 7 day caribbeans trip plus special itineraries like the Med. Therefore if you wanted a cruise longer than 4 day and not going to Nassua then it the Magic for you. Currently the Dream has taken over the Bahama runs and the Wonder is on the left coast. The MR and AK are both 7 days itineries. We prefer the caribbean (ie warm with beaches) and less Mexican gang activities so we are sticking with the caribbean itineraries for now. The Fantasy next year will be taking over for the Magic on the 7 day caribbeans and the Magic is off to TX and NY. We have a Western on the Fantasy scheduled for June next year. Hope this long winded reply helps.

We've booked the Magic because it is/was the longer cruise. We did a 4 night cruise once. Too SHORT. :lmao: It was on the Big Red Boat when they were affiliated with Disney. They only offered the 3 and 4 days at the time. I remember thinking that it sure would be nice if Disney had their own cruise line with 7 day cruises. And then :wizard: my wish came true!

We chose the Magic for length of itineraries as well. 7 days is the minimum we will spend on the ship for a lot of reasons. NEED that relaxing time:cloud9:

Don't see us going on the Wonder anytime soon. I trust Disney to steer clear of big drug areas, but the cost of getting there is a concern for us, can't afford to take a month off to go driving across the country:rotfl2: Haven't really discussed where we'd like to go next, but we will before we re-book on the ship.
