Yes, that is my mom and grandmother. My grandmother will be 101 in August. It was nice to see them one more time before they went up north until November. (They're snow birds.):goodvibes

Those were wonderful and beautiful family pictures!!! You all look so fit and healthy and happy! I love to multiple generations all together enjoying a happy time!

Sorry, I've been missing for a spell. We had a holiday weekend here, and it was my birthday. I threw a huge bash and it was a ton of work. But I"m back :)

Happy Mother's Day!! TFS your family photos--what a great experience for your girls to have a great grandmother who is 100 years old! :goodvibes

I'll have to wait until I am home before I see the pictures. I'm trying to get caught up on reports one quick peek at a time.

Very cool that your grandmother has live a hundred years! :)

Thanks! Hope you had a great day.
Call me a dummy, but what is TFS?
A lot has changed; my grandma came to Ellis Island on a boat by herself when she was Emily's age!

You have an excuse for being behind on TRs!:thumbsup2 I still haven't got caught up on everything yet.

It was about a quarter to 7 and we were leaving Epcot to go to the Magic Kingdom via Monorail. It had rained for most of the day so I figured the crowds would be pretty low, but it was the night before Thanksgiving, oh and our last night in Disney!
We got to MK and this is what we saw.

This is Amy's "Im cold, hurry up and take the picture" pose.
DSC01881.jpg

It was really cold so we layered up.
First stop was pirates since we didn't ride it yet. We walked right up to the CM that asks you how many people you have in your party.

The park was really REALLY empty.

One of my favorite pictures from the trip.
DSC01907.jpg

It was now 7:20 and we were all starving. I wanted to eat at Casey's but the rest of the gang wanted to eat at PVH. Majority won. On the way in I got us FPs for Peter Pan.
DSC01913.jpg

Amy and I went to go get a table with an IASW view. That was very easy; the whole restaurant was empty!
DSC01914.jpg

I ordered a salad, Amy ordered a kids' pizza (bigger then Pizza Planet, but still not much bigger then a softball.) and Emily and Mitch got the new Meatball Sub! You have got to try this sub. Oh my gosh, it is delish!!! For 8$ you get a nice helping of fries and a huge sub! Put this on your list!!!!!!

Continued in next post.

Line for IASW
DSC01921.jpg

After our yummy dinner we went to wash up in the bathroom. On the way out, the girls found a little book where you right down your wish. We all wrote down ours.
DSC01922.jpg

Next, it was our turn to ride IASW.

This is when it really kicked in to me that this was our last night in Disney! There were a few water works. We didn't have plans to come back until Thanksgiving 2011!

WOW!!! Totally empty park:cool1: I am SO happy to see that. We will most likely be there around Thanksgiving 2011 as well! My son's birthday is around that time. I guess we will be hitting the parks the night before :thumbsup2 Or do you think it was from the rain and the cold.

You know the park is low when PVH is empty. That place is always packed!!

Did you go somewhere to eat or to a park on Thanksgiving Day? Dying to hear if you did popcorn::

The park was empty! I've taken 4 Thanksgiving trip. Nights usually aren't too bad. In 2008 we got there the Tuesday of thanksgiving week and went to MK that night and it was empty. The day before thanksgiving during the day, is usually horrible. Get to the parks earlier, go back and rest, and then come back at around 5 and stay until closing. You should be good that way.
When is Aiden's birthday? Emily was supposed to be born on Thanksgiving but she liked the 15th instead.
In 2008 we made the mistake of starting the year with our season passes the night we arrived instead of the next day. So, this was our last night with them. We did go to DTD and had a great lunch at a table service. Keeping it a surprise!:goodvibes

:goodvibesThanks to the link for the music! I love to collect Disney stuff for my iPod :goodvibes

Great updates! Emily looks so pretty (and mature) with her hair down in the Mother's Day pics!

Can't wait to hear about your couples trip. Have you started a report yet?

I'd love to friend you on FB; can you PM me your info?

I absolutely love the Magic Kingdom when it's all decked out for Christmas! :goodvibes

Have to say we've never eaten at PVH! Looks pretty good, though! :thumbsup2

TFS=thanks for sharing! :)

cute picture of the girls with their swords. :goodvibes:

I am enjoying the Disney Music Moms giveaways each day. Great way to get excited for my Disney trip. :thumbsup2

No Problem!
Me too; I have a lot of music from attractions and fireworks on mine. It always brightens up a non-Disney day, for me.:goodvibes

Aww, thanks!! She started straightening it a few months ago and now just wears it up to sports practice.
I'm going to finish up this report. (Almost done.) and then start a PTR for the July trip and in it I'll do a mini TR for the couples trip and the one day IOA trip.
I was going to make a FB but then found out all art teachers in the state of FL need to take a test in June to keep their Master's. Well, I don't know a lot of it so I need to study. I'm going to make a FB after the test this summer when I'll have time to use it. Now, I just use Emily or Mitch's account to ge3t my Disney song each day.:lovestruc

Me too! Heck, I love MK all the time.
I really, really recommend it.

Oh!! So obvious now that you say it.
Thanks, I was on the other side of the store when it was taken and then I saw it when I was doing the update.
I'm enjoying it too.
BTW- Yesterday, in Walmart, I saw in the girls' clothing area they had a little area with belts and such. On that shelf they had Mickey kookie pens for $3.50!

After IASW we decided to go on the Haunted Mansion. We walked right on. Oh, and Emily told me that her friend who told her has a brother that works at Yak and Yeti said that the stretching room is an elevator and you just go down.
When we got off HM it was pouring! We put on our ponchos and made a run to Country Bear Jamboree. We hadn't done it yet this trip. During this there was more water works. I'm usually not that bad on the last night; it's only when we go to MK out last night! Not sure why, but anyway here are pictures from it. I didn't take much and what I did take came out pretty bad.

You're probably wondering where the phrase "There was blood everywhere" comes from. It's this guy.
DSC01931.jpg

He wasn't very good and he kept singing "There was blood everywhere." Mitch and the girls thought this was too funny and kept singing it loud enough for heads to turn! They still do. I think I need a shirt that says "I'm not with them!"
DSC01932.jpg

By now it was just drizzling but it was getting yucky again.
I loved CBJ as always. The other three haven't seen it in a couple of years since they're always riding Splash or something whenever I see it. After CBJ it was cold so some of us got hot chocolate and coffee in Picos. Like, I said Amy discovered a love for Disney's hot chocolate on our last full day. This was her second one today. When we got out, I noticed Spectro was getting ready to start any minute so I told the others we needed to make a run for Fantasyland or Tomorrowland. We chose FL. First stop was Philhar Magic. Mitch and Amy were on SM the first time we saw it on Sunday so now was it was their turn. Emily and I finished out drinks but A and M did not. The CM didn't let them take their drinks out so Mitch decided to stay outside and finish, he was going to hold Amy's HC but she wanted to stay outside with him. She is and has always been a Daddy's girl.
I know this is very blurry but here is an idea of the crowd level.
DSC01933.jpg

DSC01936.jpg

Yes, that is DUMBO with no one on it! We booked it over to Dumbo! We shared the flight with just one couple! The line was empty! Truly magical.

Excuse my ugly bag. I didn't use the Vera today bc of the weather.
DSC01944.jpg

As we were getting of my goof friend, Jimminey, comes on the loudspeaker and says the 10:00 Wishes will start in a minute! Crap, I completely lost track of time. I was trying to decide if we should stay put in Fantasy Land for it, go to our usual spot (Walk-way from HM to BTM), or try for a castle spot. I really could of gotten ones the crowds were not existent! We decided to stay in FL bc we were really tired. It sucked from here. It was was raining and we ha to keep turning our heads. Some of the fireworks were coming from behind IASW and some were coming from the castle. We were by Snow White. I really do NOT recommend watching Wishes from FL!
DSC01945.jpg

DSC01946.jpg

After Wishes we decided to go on Peter Pan. The line was a good 10 minutes but we had FPS so we used them. Oh this was when I discovered the park was only open until 11. I could of sworn it was open until 12. You see, I plan our trips like crazy. I memorize the hours for everything and the Disney website said on the 25th MK was open until 12.
Coming up next: Grumpy has enough, and things just get more and more magical!
