Magic in a Winter Wonder World with 1,648 pictures

Happy New Year! The pics of the girls are so sweet. Lots of Disney memories to cherish forever!!!

So, we came home and went to the beach instead. We all had a great time. I took my camera but the battery died about half way through:guilty:, but I still got about 20 pictures to share.

Looking forward to seeing your beach pics!

We saw Princess and the Frog the other day and it was AMAZING. I knew it would be good but I didn't think it would be that good.

We saw it and loved it, too! (Even my DS15!!!) I thought the music was awesome, and the soundtrack is now on my wish list.

I'll put them up soon. I think I discovered a way to upload just certain pictures to the computer. I don't want to upload all the Disney pics again.:headache:

I'm glad you all liked it! Emily was a little unsure of if she would like it but, Amy said "Don't worry; Disney only puts their name on good stuff.":rotfl2:
I have that kid brainwashed.
P.S- I noticed a new ticker in your sig. :cool1:

I had my update done but then the computer went crazy on me and I had to restart it. :scared: I have too many pictures on the computer.
Anyway, let's think of some more important things like Disney shopping.

We made up our mind and went to go pay for our loot. (mug and dancing christmas mickey-you'll see at the end of TR)
The register by the kitchen area was long so we went by the kids department. That line had 3 people in it who were buying under 5 items so we hopped in it. The lady paying was having a long talk with the cashier about her trip. She even started showing her pictures! Excuse me lady, but this CM has a job to do. If you want exchange addies and become pen pals. Of course I didn't see that out loud but I wanted to. Doesn't this lady know to better then to get in the way of an obsessive Disney planner who was behind schedule. Clearly she didn't mind if she went to bed with not all 10 fingers. This went on for 15 minutes. Finally, I sent the girls off to find a shorter line; I wasn't going to leave this stuff after I waited so long already. Emily called me on her cell and told me that the CM who engraves the ears who taking people and their was no line! Yipee!! 20 minutes later we were out of Mouse Gear. When we were waiting in line Mitch called and asked if we wanted to meet him to do The Piggy Bank Adventure. I agreed so went over there. When we get there he says he doesn't feel like doing it anymore. Really? So, we went to find something else to do. Innovations was so crowded and everything had long lines.
DSC00987.jpg

Amy really wanted to do SoAT but no one wanted to wait 50 minutes with her.
DSC00988.jpg

DSC00989.jpg

So, we went to go get KP tickets. I tried one and we got Norway. We did Norway in May and we wanted to do something else. So, I try another ticket- again Norway. I went to a different machine with another pass again Norway. I tried the last one; all together now- Norway!
Emily wanted ice cream so we left in search for an ice cream cart. We got 2 Mickey bars and 2 mickey Ice Cream sandwiches and shared.
Then, we asked Amy what she wanted to do and she said she wanted to go to Club Cool so there we went. Emily and I weren't feeling adventurous enough to try anything but Mitch and Amy both tried Fanta. Original, right?
DSC00990.jpg

It was oh so tempting to tell them to try one to the right but I reframed.
DSC00991.jpg

DSC00992.jpg

Leaving club Cool we walked.
Past these guys
DSC00993.jpg

To where you ask? You'll find out soon.

Coming up Next: It's a big game of hide and seek.

We continued our walking
DSC00994.jpg

To Nemo. On the way we passes a tip board and it said the line was 40 minutes. I knew that couldn't be.

5 minutes later we were boarding our clam shells. I don't know where 40 minutes came from.
DSC01002.jpg

The kids tried to take a picture together
DSC01004.jpg

These were with no flash. The lady in in the clam shell to the left of me was taking pictures with a camera that had 7 flashes before it took the picture. It was kind of annoying after a while but at least it helped my camera.

We decided to plan another adults-only long weekend! My kids are gonna hate me! :rolleyes1

That's so wierd about the KP Mission spitting out all those Norway tickets. And what was up with the tip board saying 40 minutes for Nemo???

YAY for more pics!!! My girls LOVED the Nemo ride!! :goodvibes
We all love it too. Your girls will be riding Nemo, Ally's Peter Pan, and Claire's it's a small world before you know it.:goodvibes

Ohhh, how exciting. I'm :dance3: for you right now. We had booked valentine's weekend 2009 for the four of us and were going to surprise the kids. Then 3 of us were sick so I had to cancel. In April Dh said "Why don't we go to Disney just the 2 of us next week.":scared1: Our SPs had black out dates. But, when I was on the computer checking the kids were already crying. I just couldn't do it. So, we didn't get go until May. Usually though we have a date night on our trip. This trip we didn't but I trusted Emily being 14 to go around with Amy for a little while since she had her phone.

I thought it was weird too. It ending up working out in the end though. I knew the park wasn't crowded enough so I just figured if it really is 40 minutes we can get out of line.

Hey Barbara
[really thought I commented]
Ashton loved the Nemo ride...can't wait to see him do it again this year...we measured him Sat and he is 39.5" so maybe by the time we go he will be 40" and will be able to ride so much more!

Happy to hear NY was lots of fun!!!
are ya'll having a cold snap too?!? we are down to a warm 18 tonight here in the deep south!!! too cute about Emily and her NO accent! Ashton and I went to see the frog movie (as he calls it ) on New Years Eve; Danny had to work that morning!

Have a great week!
:wave2: Connie

hi Barbara!

All caught back up--enjoying all the pictures. I am looking forward to trying the Nemo ride. When we were last there (five years ago! :scared1:) it was not Nemo yet. Another new thing to look forward to!

MouseGears--I am looking forward to going into that shop. I have my eyes set on getting a Mickey Pancake Mold. :goodvibes I figure it will be there or in the kitchen store in DTD.

Looking forward to the next update. popcorn:: BTW are you getting hit with the cold spell too down where you live? Must be a shock to those not use to the cold weather!!

Hey Connie,
Ashton will be riding Nemo and all his favorites before you know it. I wish it was November now so we can both go to Disney sooner.
I hope Ashton is able to ride some bigger things that trip. He has 10 months to grow half an inch. You can do it Ashton!:thumbsup2
Yess!! We are! IT'S FREEZING. It's been low 30 high 20s. In South Florida!:scared1: I did not sign up that when I moved to Orlando from NY.
Emily is not so cute all the time. She's developing that teenager sas mouth and all those 'lovely' teenager character traits. But, she still is a good kid most of the time. I'm glad Ashton liked the movie. I can't wait to see Toy Story 3 and Amy said today that her teacher said a Finding Nemo 2 was coming out next year I was :dance3:.

Hi,
Nemo is a fun cute little ride. It never has long waits (at least not for us and we go memorial day weekend and thanksgiving) I bet you must be excited to go back after 5 years. Our last trip before we got SPs the end of 2008 was 2005 so it was so much fun to see and ride all the new things.

When I was planning the whole trip I told myself not a lot of shopping in the parks we're going to have a whole day dedicated to shopping. That morning I some how managed to spend 35 minutes in Mouse gear!:scared1: I got a mickey cookie cutter at WOD. It's kind of big I saw a smaller one in Epcot but I didn't buy it when I had the chance.:headache: So far I have used it for cookies, pizza, and sandwich. I'm going to try it with pancakes and omelets when we have Konga cafe breakfast. (soon) So far we had 'Ohana.
It's freezing down here! Low 30s and high 20s.:scared1::scared1: This morning Amy looked me in the eye and said "Mommy, Florida is broken.":rotfl:

I read somewhere and now can't remember where that Nemo 2 was being scrapped...
Sorry! I want to say it was on the FB site that I signed up on as a FAN...but, again not sure where...

we are currently TRYING to figure out if we can make it a May trip instead of Nov...
yesterday it was May today its up in the air...:confused3: it would help if Gwendolyn and Joe could give me an answer than I could know what we can afford to do and can't afford.
Have a great evening!!

Today was Amy's first day of dance. This year she is taking lyrical and jazz. It's her first time with lyrical and her 3rd with jazz.
I just had my neighbor/friend over helping me sew. She loved Emily's sas mouth. (Her teens are grown up)
Anyway, That's all the activities from today. Today was that every other lovely Wednesday when I have to do unemployment. (I was laid off in May) I did it online after an hour and I was finished the internet crashes!:scared1: I thought it went through but I called to make sure. I was on hold for an hour and a half just to find out they didn't get it and I had to do the whole process all over.:headache:
I have pictures uploading to photobucket so you will get an update soon. It isn't a big update though.

No Nemo?!?! I was already imaganing all of the fun things Nemo and Marlin and the whole gang could do. :guilty: I keep thinking about making a FB. Emily has one and Mitch just made one. The other night I was on his searching some high school friends. I will make one one day, though.
Be strong and stay with November think of all the Christmas things

This stuff won't be here in May. In May it will be got and rainy again. I thought of going in May too but then remembered all the wonderful rain experiences.

After Nemo we went to go our good pal Crush.
DSC01020.jpg

The CM said it was 14 minutes until the next show so I decided to go see Bruce instead first instead of after.

A shark eats people but not fish!?!?!
DSC01024.jpg

DSC01025.jpg

I sent the kids to Bruce Amy comes and I'm waiting and waiting for Emily to go in his mouth and she doesn't come. After a few minutes I went behind and Mitch is gone too. :sad2:
I texted him and he said Emily somehow managed to bite her lip and it was bleeding so he took her to the water fountain. It was fine but Mitch exaggerated like her lip might need surgery.
I guess it makes since; to get away from a shark when your bleeding.
DSC01027.jpg

DSC01028.jpg

After seeing the sharks and the whole lip cut we decided to go back to Crush to wait.
Hello little guy
DSC01031.jpg

DSC01033.jpg

DSC01034.jpg

Crush was great. I almost teared up when Emily said she was too old to sit up front on the floor she had to sit with us. 6 months ago she wasn't. Amy got called on. She asked Crush "Do you ever leave Epcot?" He said "Only when I go to the EAC dude."
Apparently, the whole state of Texas was at Disney World. One kid was from TX and everyone screamed. So when ever Crush said the dangerous word, Texas everyone screamed. We Boo-ed as loud as we can. Everyone else was cheering. I felt like a different species.:hippie:
After Crush we went to the bathroom to change into our shorts. It was out now. Mitch put the jeans in the locker.

Any guesses about where we will go next?

Danny is leaning toward that last week in Nov/first wk of DEc again today and I just showed him your post...and I got a "I thought that is what you really wanted to see next"...it is! and he really want to go to the beach this summer...decisions decisions...I wish I could afford to AP's and do both and the beach on the way home!!!
The entire reason I even started to think about May was because of this year's military salute offer...it only runs through July and the tickets expire in Sep.

Hope Emily had a great time at dance!
:wave2: Connie
BTW: thanks for the pictures to remind me of what and why I had orginally said Nov '10... and FB is a wonderful place to find old classmates...I found lots...it is so much fun catching up and sharing family stories and photos!
