Magic in a Winter Wonder World with 1,648 pictures

Wouldn't it be nice to be wearing short sleeves right now? It is cold in Tennessee...and in about 60% of the country, according to the national news last night.

I am so looking forward to Toy Story 3. I hadn't heard about another Nemo.

We loved going to Disney World at Thanksgiving. The weather was very nice and the Christmas decorations were up. It was a nice start to the holiday season. We are thinking of doing that again this year.

We all love it too. Your girls will be riding Nemo, Ally's Peter Pan, and Claire's it's a small world before you know it.:goodvibes

Awww!! You remembered Ally and Claire's favorite rides!!! :lovestruc

Another great update! We had so much fun at Turtle Talk With Crush--Ally was also called upon to ask him a question!!

Danny is leaning toward that last week in Nov/first wk of DEc again today and I just showed him your post...and I got a "I thought that is what you really wanted to see next"...it is! and he really want to go to the beach this summer...decisions decisions...I wish I could afford to AP's and do both and the beach on the way home!!!
The entire reason I even started to think about May was because of this year's military salute offer...it only runs through July and the tickets expire in Sep.

Hope Emily had a great time at dance!
:wave2: Connie
BTW: thanks for the pictures to remind me of what and why I had orginally said Nov '10... and FB is a wonderful place to find old classmates...I found lots...it is so much fun catching up and sharing family stories and photos!
Maybe they'll extend the military offer. I know there will be some prize for us maybe free dining or 7/4. I would rather have free dining because I can't take the girls out of school for that long. Emily is taking 2 high school courses and it was hard for her to catch up after missing 3 days from the trip. Plus she missed 4 days about 7 school days before. Amy is only in 6th so it wasn't hard for her at all.
Amy is the one who does dance. She's my girly girl. I had Em in dance when she was younger but she didn't like it. She's more of sport-sy girl. She likes playing softball and volleyball. I just got Amy into softball this fall.
No problem. It will be worth waiting the extra months. I'm going to make a FB soon, I think. Until then the DIS can be my FB.

It would. It's freezing. 20s right now and it's supposed to drop to the teens. :cold: It snowed in Orlando today.
I'm looking forward to TS3 too. Is it normal for 2 grown women to be very excited about an animated movie?:confused3 At least I don't pose cut-out men.

Of course I did! It's going to be such a different experience this trip for both of them. Should be interesting to see. What characters they like now, rides etc.
We always love TTWC.

Every summer we go see our families in NJ/NY and stay at my mom's house. The 4 of us spend the first week and then the girls stay with my mom the second week and my mom flies them down. Last year, I booked the airline tickets with out realizing the girls would be in NY for father's day. It would be 100s of dollars to change it. I asked Mitch if he wanted me to and he just said we'll do something big next year with the money. Well, it's next year. Last night we were talking and Mitch brought up the fact that he wanted to go to Sea World and Aquatica Father's day weekend. I said it's only 10 miles from Disney, I have to at least step foot on property. He said that we can do disney but we already spent 1000s in the last year with our 3 disney trips to keep it cheap. So, I want on the Disney web site and I see an angel has been sent from heaven. FL. residents 4 day ticket for 99$:scared1: Subtract 70 something from get a day and it's 20$. That's what I call "keeping it cheap." Then my angel went back to heaven and I see you only have until May 25th to use the tickets. :sad2::guilty: If only we got one more week with it the kids have a 4 day weekend starting the 27th. Disney must hate my after I'm so nice to them. Hopefully disney extends it until the end of June. I told Mitch when you had to use the tickets by. His answer, you ask? Good luck!:sad2: If disney doesn't extend my deal then we'll check into the Marriet right next to SeaWorld on the Thursday before father's day. Friday seaworld opening to closing. Seaworld has a fireworks show. Want to know the name of it? Reflections. Really? Mitch is a gold member so we get free bfast and dinner at the hotel. Aquatica on Saturday checkout of the Marriet and move to drum roll please.... The Beach Club!! We'll rent points there or at the BW. If both are booked then we'll just do Swan or Dolphin for 2 nights. Just as long as I'm at my Epcot resorts and I can enjoy the pool. Sunday MK all day extra magic hours until 2 AM. However, if I want us to last from 9 AM to 2 AM we'll of course have to go back for naps. Monday we have 2 B-fast ADRS that I made last night. 9 AM cape may and 9:45 Chef Mickey's I was pleased to be able to get them for the time I wanted 2 weeks after ADR day. :surfweb: I'll cancel one. After B-fast we'll pack up check out and then head the MK monorail resort line and then DTD and hit the road at around 5.
So, what do you think? I think we need to vote on tickers. I'm so excited for this trip! However, we can't book until April because of some stupid Marriet reward points rule they have.

Which ticker do you think is nice for my sigg?

IT'S SNOWING!! :yay::woohoo::banana::cool1:
Sadly, not in our neighborhood.:headache: It is in all the neighborhoods around us. I feel like waking the kiddos up and driving around to go see it, but I won't. I hope it makes it's way here and it snows again in the morning. The kids would be more excited then going to disney. :rolleyes1

Snowing in your area - that's pretty wild!
Maybe the kids can see a little bit of it, but if not, you can always make it a snow day at home. I'm sure you could come up with some fun food and activities, and maybe watch a winter-themed movie.

Hanging out in pajamas, drinking hot chocolate, and watching a good movie sounds like a wonderful day to me.

I'm caught up, I'm caught up, I'm caught up!!! :cheer2:

I'm loving your report - you're doing such a good job writing it. It's funny how many of the same pictures we have. I was just laughing at the one of the snowman...I have one of my girls climbing all over him too!

I'm subbing to your TR!! I LOVE a TR with lots of pictures!! I'm going to need a little time to catch up but here I go....

Snow here is very Goofy. ;)
It only lasted for less then 10 minutes and it melted pretty quick. I wish I could of done what you said today. We met DH's brother and family for lunch and then Amy had dance and Emily had a friend come over. Right now though, I'm in my mickey and minnie sweatshirt and mickey pants.:goodvibes

Hi Nikky,
:welcome:
Yay, for being caught up. Thanks for the kind words. That is funny that we have a lot of the same pictures. I kept taking pictures of things I did on other days. At DTD I walked past this Lego seahorse and took 3 pictures of it at different times. Oh, can I see the pic of your Hayley and Caya with the snowman? That is the closest Amy and Emily have come with a snowman in a while. It's my screen saver right now.:goodvibes

Hi,
:welcome: and thanks for subbing.
Have fun reading.:surfweb:

Great update! And YAY for another trip (hopefully--or does the ticker make it real?) :goodvibes
Thank you! The trip is happening. But if you're booking a trip on Marriot points (we'll be at a Marriot for the Sea World portion of the trip) you can't book until 45 days in advance. So, I'm not putting up a ticker until then. It is oh, so tempting however.
****
Amy is sleeping. Mitch is in the shower. And Em and I are watching the bachlor. I can't believe what happened with Roslyn. Just wow! Today at the library I taught an art class. It's below freezing right now. When I was making the kids' lunch I realized we were out of so much food! So, I had to go out at night in the freezing cold to the store. Lesson learned; Be prepared! A lot of our town is out power I think from the what seemed like a blizzard but with rain instead of snow yesterday. Thank gosh we still have ours.
Emily just asked me what website I was on and I just mumbled the DIS. She comes over to investigate and takes my laptop and now is giving you guys all a shout out. Here it goes-
Hola world. Have a bien night! Drive safely.
I'm back. Yes she likes to put random spanish words in the middle of a english sentence and just started telling people to drive safely the other night.:confused3
Have a good night everyone and I guess drive safely.;)

Loved all the pictures from Nemo and Crush!

Yay for getting to plan another trip! :woohoo:
Thank you!
I'm so excited. I have a plan figured out, there is just some things I need to research. Mainly FT Wilderness. We have plans to go there for the C and D sing-a-long. Also Sea World and Aquatica. I am so weak in the other theme parks.

Hey! Barbara
I vote on the second ticker...I like them all but since you are not quite sure on the location of your stay at WDW...

I can't wait to go to Seaworld with Ashton...I never did take my older two; at least that is what Gwendolyn keeps saying...I really thought we went in '96. My older two kids love US/IOA and WDW but don't know about SW. Waterparks, I heard Aquatica is really nice, but that is not my cup of tea...

fun update and you broke my heart when you said Amy said she was too old...no one should ever be too old for fun!

SNOW!!! wow !!!!!how awesome was that!!!!
it is suppose to be warming up here today and through the weekend...although our heater is still running and we are walking around the house wrapped in our disney fleece throws!

:wave2: Connie

Hi Connie,
I'm so excited for this trip. I think for the disney part we'll just do the swan or dolphin to keep the cost down.
We haven't been to Seaworld since probably 2000. Back then they had no rides for the kids and it was just pretty much a zoo for us. I've wanted to go to Aquatica since it opened. Most waterslides aren't my thing either but the lazy river is. They have one when you're in dome and there is actually dolphins and other fish. I have a feeling I'll be riding that a lot.:thumbsup2 The kids love waterslides.
Emily wanted to go around with just Mitch since Amy did for a few hours the other night at MK. I told her later we're going around the 4 of us now. She said it was smarter to leave the nemo area and come bak for turtle talk later. She does like the show and enjoyed it once it started but she was in the mood to go around with DH at the time and wait in the 100 minute Soarin' line. Teenagers.:sad2:
I hope you have warmer weather coming. It finally warmed up here the other day. I missed my shorts; for 10 days our high wasn't over 45. I was starting to get worried about our heating bill.:headache:

Hello guys,
I've been meaning to do an update but the DIS closed my TR for a few days. Not sure how that happened.
Anyway, we continue our tour around Epcot by waking

It was about 10 after one at this point. Our agenda was to get more Soarin' FPs, have lunch, and either ride living with the land or see the movie.

Getting more FPs isn't going to happen

Not too crowded

We went downstairs
DSC01053.jpg

Once downstairs I told the kids the different options we could either have lunch right now or go see the movie (the name escapes me now) or go on a boat ride. We haven't done either in 5 years so I didn't care which one.
They decided on living with the land. The line was only 5 minutes but we had to wait for Mitch to come back from the locker. I called him and told him the game plan he said o.k but he asked if living with the land is in the world showcase.
Me- No, it's right next to Sunshine Seasons.
Mitch- Isn't that some thing they had for F&G in May?
Me- No, it's that place we have lunch every trip with the good chicken. It's in the same place as Soarin'.
Once you mention Soarin' he knows exactly where to go.
Mitch-Oh, coming right over now.
Mitch came over and we got in line for Living with the land. The stand-by said 5 minutes but it was more 10 minutes. Not bad at all.
