Welcome to the thread for the Disney Magic Feb 1, 2015 Western Caribbean (Key West)! I'll be cruising with my husband. We are SO excited!

Hi! We just booked our first cruise for next year. We knew we'd have to do it now before our boys got too big. They just outgrew Legoland last year so it's time to bump up the vacations.

We're looking forward to this although it's over a year away. But time flies and before we know it we'll be sailing back to where DH & I honeymooned 13 years ago - the Cayman Islands. It will be fun to go back for the day with our kids.

I joined the FB group and am looking forward to getting to know people before the cruise. I have a lot to learn with all the lingo and fish extenders and what to do and where to go! But it will all be great fun.

Warm regards from sunny Arizona,

Kim

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :beach:
Have a great cruise!

Hello, we are sailing on the Magic Feb. 1, 2015. We just got back from a cruise on the Magic 3 weeks ago and have been on the Dream twice. Looking forward to doing the fish extenders this time. When and where do we all exchange our stateroom numbers to participate in that?

My partner and I booked this while on the 2/1/14 sailing of the Fantasy. Can't wait to be back on the Magic and see her new areas.

Hi all:

Just returned from the 2/2 cruise on the Wonder and booked the Magic while on Board. We have been on the Wonder twice, the Magic twice & the Dream. We are now Gold Castaway Club members and looking forward to the "new" Magic next February. It is great to have a cruise to look forward too (even though it is a year away). I am sure time will fly.

It will be me & DH, our DS and his girlfriend. Looking forward to next February :)

DH and I just booked for this cruise! This will be our first cruise as gold members, our last ship for our grand slam, and we'll be celebrating my birthday! I hate planning this far in advance, a year of waiting is going to kill me!

I know, right? This will be our first ever cruise and after a year of planning, I'm so afraid that my expectations will be greater than my reality!

Not much I can do about it but manage my expectations. I'm just hoping for nice weather and no norovirus. Hope that norovirus vaccine comes out this year!

We rarely book more than 6-7 months in advance for anything, and I usually go crazy with the planning and general obsessing. After our last cruise this past fall, DH swore that from now he was going to book and plan and not tell me until a week before. Ha! He is not the planning type to say the least....so I'm in charge!

Despite being seasick for the whole cruise this past time, and never having been seasick before, I'm not really concerned about norovirus. Though, it did occur to me that it's prob more likely during a winter cruise bc people are generally sicker anyway. Honestly, as long as we get more than 8 hrs of sunshine, it will be an improvement from this last cruise!

Hello! Just off the February 8-15 Fantasy sailing. We booked this cruise while onboard! This will be our first Magic cruise. I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you.

On this cruise will be me, Jen; my husband, Eric; my daughters, Abby (7 by cruise time) and Olivia (will turn 4 on the cruise); and my in-laws, Mike and Becky.

I am not sure if I am allowed to mention this or not but I made a Roll Call on Cruise Critic for this cruise. Personally, I like Disboards better for Disney cruises, just wanted to let everyone know over there.

I am so excited! We just booked this cruise. It will be our second. We cruised on the Wonder 2 years ago when it sailed from California!! We will have both our sons (ages 8 and 10) with us!

Hi. We just booked our first Disney Cruise on the Disney Magic for Feb 1, 2015. We've been hearing a lot about the Fish Extenders and my kid really would like to take part. How and where do we join?

Hello! I would think in a couple months we will have a sign up for it. It is a lot of fun. My girls really enjoyed checking their "pockets" several times a day for treats!

The hardest part of a fish extender exchange for us was coming up with something to give that wouldn't require an extra suitcase! :)

There is a lady (the same one that started this thread) on Facebook that started a group for this sailing over there. I would just keep checking in with the group as to when things will be organized.

I just booked this cruise for my son and I! I'm so excited, he'll be 5, and my birthday is while we're on the cruise. I can't wait! It's like a whole year away!!

Thanks. We are just so excited!

We originally booked the Wonder Feb 20 - 5 day sailing but during a Celebrity cruise with DH 2 weeks ago we just fell in love with cruising. I decided 5 days just wasn't enough so we switched over to the Magic for 7 days on Feb 1 (obviously lol).

It will be everyone's first Disney cruise and the kids first cruise ever. We have 4 kids and my mother going with us so we have 2 staterooms. Does anyone know if the partition on the verandah scan be opened between the 2 rooms as well as the connecting doors?

We are celebrating 3 early birthdays as well on the cruise. I'm a pretty crafty person so I'm already working on FE gifts. Can't wait to sign up.

:)

Welcome! From other cruises, it looks like the partition can be opened but I have not read anywhere where someone said that they actually were. I too am hoping to be able to do that. We have connecting rooms with my father in law and his wife. :)
