Magic Express??

Has anyone used the Magic Express. As I understand it, you don't have to wait at baggage claim for your bags. They pick up and deliver. As a DVC member are we entitled to this?? If so, has anyone used this service. How was it... I am always a little nervous of bags getting lost... Also, how long before your bags are delivered to your room. I usually never use Mears trans. it just takes too long... What is the transportation like???

Well, Disney's Magical Express begins on May 5th of this year, so nobody can give you any reviews yet. My dear Auntie is taking it on the 7th so I will get a review then; also watch for other reviews then.

As for the details, there is a very good FAQ here on the DIS, which a number of folks have been so kind as to post a link in responses. Yes, we are eligible, as long as we're staying in a Disney hotel at WDW.

The way things are supposed to work is that Disney will have their own desk inside the terminal, and will take care of your luggage for you. It may not go on your same bus, though, so pack what you will need for arrival day in your carry-on. The buses are supposed to be the same type of buses as the ones used for Disney Cruise Line, which are better than Mears shuttles, although no faster, since pick-up for the airport is over 2 1/2 hours ahead of departure.
