Planning a last minute trip & considering staying at the Swan as they have a really good rate but just wondering if you can use the Magic Express with this hotel as I don't want to rent a car.

Thanks!

They are not owned by Disney and do not offer ME service.

They do have other perks, like EMH's, etc.

You can check out the Transportation board; there is a sticky at the top of the page for alternative transportation options.

ME is not included as a free perk for Swan or Dolphin. You can make a reservation with Mears motor shuttle for round trip transport from the airport. They are the same company as ME, you just have to pay for it. I don't recall it being too expensive. Just google mears and the information you need will come up. Also, realize you can not charge merchandise to your room when staying at either resort, unless you're shopping in their shops, and you can not get the dining plan when staying at Swan or Dolphin. They do offer great discounts and the beds are incredibly comfy!

That is the only down side of the Swan/Dolphin that I found but every time I've stayed there I either had a rental car or had one of my local friends pick me up at the airport.

We just stayed at the Dolphin for 7 days...we rented a car for $95.12 through National Car and it cost $23.00 dollar for gas to re-fill before i dropped off at the airport ....well worth the convenience to have a car............

There are also several town car services that will provide you with R/T transportation between MCO and the S/D for around $104 (plus tip). For the companies I've used/plan to use (Tiffany Town Car, Sunshine Limo) this includes meeting you in the airport, assisting with luggage and a 20 minute grocery stop, if desired.

It's a nice, stress-free way to kick off your vacation.

You can also use Mears to shuttle there. I did it a few years ago..it worked out surprisingly well. I think it was about $21 one way, $34 r/t. Yes, it took a bit longer than using DME, but not by much. If I remember correctly, it took me about 85 mins to get from MCO to the Swan. You can book in advance right on the Mears site.

Just back from my first stay at Swan 2 weeks ago. Even with the lack of ME I can say I'm now a Swan convert! I do rent a car, but I loved being able to check in for my flight home on (dreaded) departure day right at the resort, thus no carting luggage - going from rental car return to security is great. I did miss having that perk this trip, but I was able to check-in for my flight home (Southwest) at the computer terminal next to the Concierge desk in the Swan lobby. Got my boarding pass right there. Having to cart the luggage and do things the 'old fashioned' was no big deal for me, so Swan is my new favorite, even without ME.

From one Long Islander to another...welcome to the club. The Swan/Dolphin fan club, that is!
