Has anyone done the Magic Express with AC? How did it go? Did you do this recently? Were you able to get boarding passes etc at the resort for your return? I know United is one of the partners, and since AC uses United I am wondering if it is feasable. Any suggestions or advice.

Just subscribing as we are flying AC as well. We don't arrive untill 11:37 pm so we were advised to pick up our own luggage for ME.

You will probably clear customs before crossing the U.S. border in which case you may attach the yellow ME tags to baggage, your flight is considered a U.S. domestic flight, and when you arrive in Orlando you go directly to the ME desk ("A" side lowest level).

If you did not clear customs sooner, you must clear customs in Orlando. At this time you will have your baggage in your hands and you may carry baggage to the ME bus. Optionally you may attach the yellow tags at the Orlando customs area and put the baggage back into the baggage handling system for automatic resort delivery.

Going directly home, if your first flight is a United (or American or Continental or Delta or Jetblue or Song or Ted) flight you may have your boarding pass printed at the resort ME desk. This may reduce the chances of being bumped on the first flight even though the connecting Air Canada boarding pass cannot be printed yet whereas both can be printed together at Orlando Airport. You will still have to keep control of your baggage and bring it to the ME bus when you depart, since you must clear customs at Orlando. The resort concierge may or may not be able to print boarding passes for other airlines depending on how busy he is. At some resorts you need to be back at the resort 45 minutes before your ME bus show up time to get baggage back from the bellhop.
