linda
welcome . I think is never to late to get started and Jackie is correct 15 is very doable and 30 is still with in reach!!!
Everyone
I am really getting very "blue" I feel like I am doing everything right and nothing is happening. I know something is not right. I really need to go to the Doctor and try and get things figured out. But I am sad to admitt I am afraid to go. I keep saying next week I will make an appointment or after Angelina goes back to school, so on and so forth. But in reality I am to scared to go.I have so much joint pain and I am so tried all of the time. Well enough from me.

Michelle, like you, I have to be dragged to the doctor kicking and screaming. But in all honesty, knowing what's going on is better than imagining what could be wrong. MAKE THAT APPOINTMENT.

I was hoping to report this morning that I had 'officially' lost that one pound that melted away before Disneyland, but, alas, not quite yet. You know how on "Biggest Looser" they have the scale jump around a mess of numbers before it registers the contestant's weight? Well mine does that! I always take it as a sign that when it shows a lower number than the 'final' reading, it means I COULD get to that number with just a tiny bit more work. Some days seeing that lower number helps keep me on track ::yes:: I know, I'm

Nothing special going on this week in my life....so all the more reason to make it an ON TRACK week with food, water and exercise. Maybe I'll squeeze in a few hours of overtime also for some extra :boat: money.

ONWARD AND DOWNWARD Everyone!

Dee - I know what you mean about the market! I find it's so salty too! Fazoli's actually has a great chicken salad that I like (right down the corner from me) and my hubby likes it too. I stay away from the bread sticks (hard cuz they are good). And once in a blue I'll get a side of meatballs with a side salad...yummy! Not sure about the points - but check it out - you might be surprised. The caesar salad without the dressing is good too ( i use oil and vinegar instead).

ONWARD AND DOWNWARD!!!!

I just have to share this new receipe. Now I know it sounds weird, but give it a try.

slice a cucumber and soak it in a salt water bath in the refridgerator for about 30 minutes. Then rinse and mix (to taste) vinger and water and coat the cumbers. Add splenda and chill.

Quarter strawberrys in a seperate bowl. Add splenda to taste. Chill.

In a seperate bowl mix 1 3/4 cups of strawberrys to 1/2 of the cucmbers strained. Only 1pt and is so refreshing and filling. It is sweet and tart. One of the co-workers here thought is sounded awful. I convinced her to try it and she could not believe how good it was.

Well I love cucumber and tomatoes...not sure about this, but I'll give it a try. Just need to get some cuc's and strawberry's.

I'll try anything once (well, NOT anything!)

Hey Ya'll, sorry I've been missing. My sister (the skinny one who can eat anything and never gains an ounce  ) was here this weekend and we had a really nice visit. You will meet her on the cruise. She's a sweetie!

Dee, I've heard of receipes calling for strawberries and balsamic vinegar before, but have never tried it. Maybe I should be a little more brave and try this one :teeth: .

Michelle, I agree with Jackie, make the appt. You might need your thyroid checked. I was extremely fatigued before getting mine taken care of.

I will weigh in next Monday. We didn't do too bad with the eating this weekend and we did a lot of walking. Took my sis to Williamsburg and toured all the shops. My credit card lost a lot of weight this weekend, for sure.

I think the recipe call for white vinegar, not balsamic - yuck!

I have made the the strawberry receipe with the balsmic vineger and it was yummy. Served it over french toast. Even Dh liked that.

The one I posted I used white vineger. I may try the balsalmic.

Tonight I made a corn salsa with balsalmic vineger and put it over grilled portabella mushrooms. Life is good.

Glad you had a good time this weekend Linda with your sister. My sis and I have not gone out and did anything in a very long time. We are so busy with packing and cleaning. We just got her house on the market today. I wish her well. We now have to start on our in-laws so we can have it on the market my the first of September.

Well itis time for chat. Later fellow losers.

Onward and downward from here

Okay, just checking in. Down aother 2.4 this week for a total of 33.2.

Yeah for the "weird" food, it is working.

:thumbsup2 :sunny: :goodvibes :cool1:  :cheer2: :Pinkbounc

Ok, as far as the recipe - no way will I attempt balsalmic - not a huge fan in the first place - but I will try it with white! :)

Congratulations Dee! :cool1:

I'll go update page one right now!!

Thanks for updating. It gives me a simple pleasure to go and see the progress.

Has anyone noticed we are missing a few people latley. I hope all is well.

Way to go DEE!! :cool1: :Pinkbounc  :cheer2: Keep up the good work. I still have not gotten back on the scale because I am retaining water and do not want to to depress me. I know that I am doing everything right so if nothing else at least I know I am trying.

Hang in there Michelle. Doing it right is half the journey. It all pays off in the end.

Tonight I am gonna dig out the rest of my parts to my gym so I can start working out. I really need to do some excercise. I really saw results in a couple weeks when I used the total gym before. I do not want to get to flabby as I lose and I can already see a change in my arms and stomach. So my new goal is to work ut at least 3x a week. It only take about 15 minutes and I should be able to spare that..right? Okay, what I want is for you all to hole me accountable. :thumbsup2

I have found that the working out is the key - not only to tone- but get's that metabolism burning... and even though you might have a "stop' for a vacation that metobolic burner just keeps going - once you've been doing it for a while! Cool eh?

Ok, I need to get back on this horse - my ONWARD & DOWNWARD had turned into FORWARD AND UPWARD for a while.

I promise to be better about being a good little :cheer2: even though I might not have been as good in the near recent past!

BUT - good thing? All those work pressures are OFF!!!!! YES INDEED!!!!

I was fretting and fretting and who says fretting doesn't pay off? I finished the CPR's (customer performance reviews) and today, laid the newsletter to almost final rest. We have a few "white holes" to fill with slogan's etc. But other than that - DONE

My boss informed me today, our company is indeed moving he said 50% chance but I know it is in fact more... so time to go through all those file cabinets and pitch and organize!!!! He thinks that's a chore...little does he know I LOVE cleaning and organizing!!!!

Oh tonight was awful. I got home and hit the pantry and fridge. I was sick after all that binging. I am still feeling ill. I do not know if it was poor planning with meals and snacks the past few days or what. I just wanted the pretzels, dip, kisables, icecream. Heck I even splurged and had a diet soda. Now with all that sodium in the soda and pretzels, I will be a baloon tomorrow. ugh. I figured out the points and I figured I used ALL my bonus points. I need to be very good the rest of the week. :guilty: This weekend is my anniversary too.

Well, back on track tomorrow.

Peggy Jo I guess you and I are starting over again. Onward and downward from here.

Peggy Jo
I feel like I am in the Forward and upward club and I hate it!!!!. But I keep telling myself keep going because if I stopwho knows how bad it would get.
Dee
Please don't beat yourself up. We all slip. I give you credit for figuring out the points. What are you doing for your anniversary? What ever it is have a wonderful time!!
This week while shopping we found these 1 point snacks by WW. They are tiny but really yummy. Really like the lemon ones. We also bought the WW fudge bars 1 point and really BIG frozen treat!!!!

Yesterday must have been the day for binging here. One of the other supervisors just told me that last night she binged as well. Must be in the air.

I was looking at the pretzel this morning and realized that I over estimated the points. Which was a little releif, but man am I swollen. I guess I needed to get that out of my system because today I could care less if I ate another salty thing. I just want some grilled veggies and a veggie burger or some seafood.

Wow, guess I just needed last night to get it out of my system for a while.

Michelle, hang in there. Remember the goal is to be healthy.
