Welcome aboard... :thumbsup2

185 days to go... :woohoo:

Southwest opened their flights... We are booked!

Hello! We are crossing our fingers and hoping for Pixie Dust magic that we will be joining all of you on this cruise. Myself, DH, and DD went on our first DC aboard the Magic on May 15th in the Med and just loved, loved, it!

We are booked on a dummy date and would love to get on this fine trip. But it will depend on DH's hectic training schedule and frankly I am not sure we are willing to pay the high price this cruise is currently listing at.

Any guesses if this will get any less expensive? Right now they are asking about 6300 for two adults and a child in a CAT 12. That seems excessive. But I admit I don't have much experience with DCL.

With the discount we recieved I think we are around 10K for us 4...

I doubt it will get less expensive... but we can pray...

Welcome aboard.. DCL @ Christmas is magical!!

We're BAAAAAAACK!!!!!!

It was an amazing trip! Made me realize though the need to really build in downtime to the agenda. Everyone was so exhausted!!!!

And getting off the ship was not as sad as it normally is because we had our CHRISTMAS cruise to look forward too!!!!!! :cool1:

Welcome to the new folks! We look forward to meeting you in December!

I sincerely doubt Disney will be discounting the trip any more than it already has. About three months ago, they cut prices on this itinerary to try and fill it up a bit. Can't imagine they'll reduce it further until after the paid-in-full date. But if you're military or a FL resident, keep an eye out for those discounts that should come out about 2 months before the cruise.

I did miss not going to CC. It was a different type of cruise with no beach, etc. I did enjoy a couple of Konk Koolers, but even that was weird because it was so chilly on deck. Felt more like I should have Konk Hot Chocolate! :lmao:

I can imagine...

The main 2 reasons we go on DCL @ :santa: is to get away from the hustle & bustle and to get warm.. So crusing to Alaska & nothern Europe is kinda strange to me at least..

How was getting on and off in Russia??

We had no trouble getting on or off in Russia. We had booked a private tour and had tickets. But I'm not sure they paid much attention to them. We managed to avoid the immigration section during busy times, probably because our private tour times were different from the DCL times. Our daughter had the ballet class on the first day, so we weren't rushing to get off the ship when we first arrived.

Welcome Back. I read your DH's trip report. Looks like you had a fabulous time. Talk to you soon.

I cannot believe our final payment is due next month. Time flies when you are having fun! Does anybody know when Disney will post the excursions for all our ports?

Last week we renewed DD's passport. It was a crisis. We spent most of the morning looking for her birth certificate. We finally found it in the desk drawer, which is the first place that we looked.

We are also busy planning my sister's wedding. I have enjoyed dress fittings, cake tasting, and Bachelorette party planning (Vegas Baby). Today, I am going to get my hair straighten because the wedding is on the beach, and my hair cannot Frizz.

I hope everybody has a wonderful 4th of July!

Things that I am looking forward to: Pool Party on the 4th; World of Color; Bachelorette party, and going to the chapel.

Talk to you soon.

We happen to be both :). Hopefully this works in our favor. Thank you for the heads up on the timeline.

I'm hoping our family will be joining you all on this cruise. This will be our first cruise and I'm trying to do as much research as I can to see if it's going to be a good fit since it's so much $$$!
I'm really excited about the possible trip, but we need to get through our August WDW trip first. I know there are only so many family suites, so I know I need to make decisions sooner rather than later.
We are a family of five with two girls 15 & 9 and my son who will be 12. I'll keep you posted, but it looks good that we will be embarking on a whole new Disney experience!

Hellow from Mexico!!!

Took a church / school trip to the Grand Mayn in Nuevo Valliarta...

Let me tell you this place could learn alot from ::MickeyMo

Trying to talk this group into a trip next year to.. WDW or a DCL.. Gotta love those skeptics... :rolleyes1

Need some :wizard: to make it to happen.

Hope everyone is having a great Summer and had a great 4th of July or Canada Day..

We are also a family of 5 (3 girls, ages 9, 7, & 4). We have always cruised in two connecting category 9 or 8's (once we upgraded to 6's, but won't spend the money to pay full price). We have often found that this option is cheaper than the family room or a suite and you essentially get the same amount of space or more! It's something to check out if you're concerned about space and $$$.

Does anyone know how to find out how booked this cruise is? Just curious if everything will be very crowded or nice and spacious. We've had both experiences and we really liked the emptier ship.:thumbsup2
