Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) **** PART III ****

Candlelight Processional was beautiful - music enchanting! Weather, however...sorely lacking! Crystal clear skies and freezing temps. We wanted to stay for the fireworks, but just couldn't manage it. I'd like to blame the kids, but really after the lovely concert, I was shivering so badly that I had only one desire - get home to my bed!!! (The girls shared my desire, so that helped!)

Slow warm-up starts tomorrow. Off to Animal Kingdom in the morning...

Aaron has a Canon PowerShot SX1is. He's going to run to the store in the morning to get a couple items for me and to see if he can locate a cord as well. Thanks for thinking of him! Wish I could post some of the lovely photos he's been taking so far this week, but will get them up eventually.

Nite all!

Hi!
Y'all are already so dear to me, to be worried about my dad and me. I am happy to report, after a surprising six bypasses, that he is doing remarkably well. I felt optimistic enough tonight to even pack a suitcase. I am days behind but that is okay, too.

This had taken the wind out of my sails for all excitement about the trip but I hope it will now start building again by leaps and bounds.

Enjoyed the video so much, Angie. Even showed it to The German but he didn't get it. Too much snow for him living in Germany to wonder why anyone would voluntarily go lay in it for a video. (I'm still looking for his sense of humor undernear that gorgeous exterior.)

Thank you all again for caring, asking, praying...

Melanie

That's great news Melanie! We will continue to send our thoughts and prayers your way.

3 large rolling duffel bags, a giant garment bag, 3 carry-ons, a backpack, and my handbag. I've never packed so much in my entire life. I used to be able to go on two week international holidays with just a Rick Steves carry-on.

Every time I took something out Agnes would put 3 things in.

My husband somehow misplaced the brand new socks he just bought yesterday. So tomorrow I will be going out to buy black socks. LOL

I think we are ready. Just a few things to throw in the bags before we head to the airport hotel tomorrow evening. At this point I don't even care if I forgot something. I just want to get to the Radisson and have a few drinks!

I have reached this point, as well. I may look like a rodeo clown on the boat, but I'll be on the boat.

Safe travels, all! Not going to make the dinner ressie tonight at Fulton's. Forgot about time change ... ah well!:upsidedow

That is terrific news. :cool1: Just one more big reason to be thankful during this holiday season.

You seem like you handle pressure very well so being a couple of days behind is no big deal. I just want to know if Lola is packed and ready to go.

Take care and we will keep sending you and your family good thoughts.

Just got this email from my travel agent....wish we were going to have these on our cruise. Bummer!!!!:sad1:

Wave Phones Now Available Onboard Some Disney Cruises
Beginning on the December 16, 2010 sailing of the Disney Wonder and the December 28, 2010 sailing of the Disney Magic, families will have a great new way to stay in touch with one another. Portable Wave Phones will enable guests to contact members of their party while onboard the ship or ashore at Disney’s Castaway Cay.
All staterooms will now offer two portable Wave Phones for complimentary use during the length of the cruise. Four phones are provided in the Royal Suite and 2-Bedroom Suite categories. Guests can rent an additional phone from Guest Services for $3.50 per day.
The Wave Phones replace the paging system previously used by Youth Activities. Parents with children participating in activities are now never more than a text message or phone call away.
Guests can opt out of using these phones and have the Wave Phone service disconnected in their staterooms. If phones are lost, damaged or not returned to the stateroom prior to debarkation a $250 charge per phone will be applied to the Guest’s stateroom account. This charge will be mentioned on the payment authorization form during the check-in process.

Sounds like me! our Europe cruise was easier to pack for than this, and less bags. I know on that trip we had 200 pounds. I'll be getting the scale on these shortly. I hope they fit in our economy rental car. Yikes

Miamatel - don't worry about packing for your girls. We'll have enough girl clothes for the Brady Bunch in our cabin. Come on over!

Unless we're coming back a day earlier than my itinerary indicates, there is no Dec. 28th sailing of the Magic. I had seen this before as being the Dec. 18 sailing as well.

Guess we'll see when we get there on Saturday! Happy to play the guinea pig for new toys! :thumbsup2

Us too!

We haven't attempted to put the bags in the rental car yet...hmmmmm. This could be tricky! I'm guessing FL law wouldn't look kindly on my perching my girls on suitcases in the back seat???? :rolleyes1

I saw that too but I thought it was a typo and they meant to type the 29th. That would be great if it's a typo and should be the 18th. I like trying out new toys too!!!!

Safe travels to anyone heading out today!

Alyssa and I are still working on our packing. Right now we have 2 large suitcases, 1 large garment bag, and 2 rolling carry-ons. That's for two people.:scared1: It's going to be interesting getting into the airport!

Steve,

The German says he will gladly build a box and bring Lola on the boat for us to have fun with IF she can then either become a beach bum, get a job on the boat or go home with one of you. While she meets his weight requirement (I no longer do), he thinks it is just, um, weird that I have her. I kind of wonder sometime if he's ever met me.

Jill, the tutus are pulled out hoping to be squished in the bottom of the garment bag for ya! Those are some poufy skirts....

I let slip last night that there is a "prince and princess night" on this cruise. Off today to go tiara shopping...I sure hope they sell them in hospital gift shops.
