Wow- so sorry to hear how cold all of you are!!! We survived the blizzard and are almost completely packed. While I packed, this is my husband's warm way to prepare for the trip...hope you all enjoy!

We started packing.....4 bottles of vodka, 2 bottles Roses' lime to go in the vodka, 16 cans Rock Star for our son to put in his vodka, 4 bottles Korbel Brut champagne for the Champagne girls party.......oh, must remmeber to pack clothes!

Just looked on DCL website. Category 5, 8, 9 & 10 rooms still available. But I did notice an error. Did this cruise ever go to St. Lucia before Martinique, then skip St. Thomas? They have an animated graphic showing the itinerary with a stop at St. Lucia. The text is the itinerary that we all have been planning, just the graphic never got updated.

Private Mixology - Cocktail mixing (and tasting)

I just heard back from Disney today regarding a Private Mixology on December 19 at 1:00 - 2:00, just prior to our planned meet-up.

Unfortunately Disney did not get back to me until today and we are leaving tomorrow, therefore I need your response by midnight CST tonight (12/15/10)

If you are interested, the charge will be $15 per person.

Please Private Message me with your name, cabin number and number of attendees. Disney reminded me that no-shows will be charged.

I would love to do this! Any idea what cocktails they would be mixing? I'm a big fan of fruity concoctions - not so much the gin & tonic or dry martini type of gal. DH will pass though. If he'll agree to round up the kids to get them to the meet, I'll join you!

I think this has long been an issue with the website. I don't think they ever corrected the graphic. I think someone checked and the Magic is not due in St. Lucia, but it is definitely booked for St. Thomas.

Well, we are going to try to get the port early to see if there are any connecting verandahs available for upgrade. I know our chances are slim, but we'll try. If not - laundry/DOTD party in our rooms next to the laundry room mid-week!

Animal Kingdom rocked! Little chilly, but certainly bearable. Kids would not ride Mt. Everest - but DH, me, and my Dad went on Dinosaur - not as crazy a ride as I thought it would be. Had a great lunch at the Tusker restaurant - really yummy food - even though it's a buffet. The Mango chutney was AWESOME!!! Parade and Safari also pretty neat. The safari actually seemed better this time, now that I've actually been on a safari in Tanzania. Pretty realistic if you take out the tailing poachers part and add a few hours of driving between animal sitings! Added bonus today - met Pooh's Pals and NaomiJayne getting off the SSR bus!!! Thanks for the "I" name for our Harry Potter game!!!!!

I'm starting the packing process which usually involves me dumping everything on the bed and then taking things off the bed a little at a time and morphs into a closet cleaning session followed by packing until 3 am the night before we leave.....

Amy & Vika did not make it home after gymnastics... I called and sent them straight to the hotel down the street. Their vaca starts a day early..


My big azz 4x4 is parked in my nieghbors front yard.. Cant get to my driveway because of ice on the roads..

OMGosh! Didn't realize there was ice in the eastern part if the state! I am waiting for DD to be in deep sleep then attempting to pack or pile moat I'd her and my stuff. Tomorrow at work a nightmare. Have to have all 12/31 stuff dine, plus party, plus a zillion other things and all our bills!!! Tomorrow nite finish packing and the big reveal to DD who has no clue. I am soooo nit ready. Can't wait to meet you all in person. Hope I'm ready and calm by then B/c I'm a mess right now!!!!!

Safe travels for everyone -- went through freezing rain in North Georgia. Overnighting in Macon as originally planned - C O L D! DH's Kindle died en route so we had to search for a replacement

So excited to be on our way. Looks like we got out of TN beofre the freezing yuck hit. Thinking of you all and cannot wait to hear your travel stories IN PERSON!

Hi All,
Yes, crazy Disney called me today about the request for another tasting from over a month ago. They gave us the time Dec. 19 from 1-2, I guess so we'd be "happy disers" at the meet. The class sounds fun and it books fast on board. We still need 8 more people to make the group. Please PM me with the name and cabin #. It is 15.00 and you will get charged even if you cannot make it.

I was startled when they called, hoping it was a miraculous upgrade, hence I forgot the location. I will post details ofcourse when we make our numbers.

Extending your time until 7:am central to sign up. It looks like I'll be up for hours packing and thinking of those drinks.

Alyssa and I got just about everything packed tonight. We just have to add last minute things and figure out where some of the extra stuff is going.

Brittany and David left Roanoke and made it to Virginia Beach(where his parents live) tonight and they will fly out on Friday.

Mike - you guys stay safe down there. It is snowing here again. They are predicting about 4-6 inches of snow tonight. I would rather have the snow over the ice though.

Caryn - safe travels tomorrow and I'm glad you got out of TN before the nasty stuff set in.

We just finished the matching shirts and they should make a pretty good family picture. I think we are going to wear them when we board so we can get a photo in front of the model of the Magic. We should be pretty easy to spot. Look for the seven of us plus the ILs in matching shirts looking a little stressed. Life will be good once we board.

Finally making some progress on luggage. The three boys are now packed. We really have no idea what our oldest son loaded together which is making my DW nervous but I told her he is old enough to figure it out. Between them, the FE gifts and Xmas presents, we are at 5 pieces of luggage. Now we just have to get the female side of the family to actually put their clothes in suitcases.

Finished packing just as we left at 10:30 this AM ... 6 suitcases for 3 folks. Zowie!

Decided tomorrow to amble about Downtown Disney as originally planned. Can't justify the $250+ admission for the three of us for anything less than a full day. Changed dining ressie, again. This time to Citrico's. Never been and would love to monorail it there and see the decorations.

Just colored my roots in the hotel room. Makes me feel like we are on the run from the law. I watch too much tv.
