Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) **** PART III ****

I tried making a no-sew FE today. Disaster!! LOL I'm not sure what I created but it definitely wasn't a FE. I am so not crafty but I am able to go on to Ebay and get a really cute Mickey Christmas one.


Really hoping our docs come tomorrow. I am dying to see them.

I keep thinking about shopping and lunching while on Martinique. I am obsessed about this port!

Hope everyone is having a great Pre-Thanksgiving Week-End! We finally finalized what we are doing for the FE! It took a lot of brain storming because we wanted it to be a little unique! Bad part is we cannot start it until Dec 14th and we leave on the 16th so its going to a busy few days but well worth it!

Does anyone know if there is a deadline for ordering the baskets from Shirley? Things have been busy so I haven't had an opportunity to call and place the order. I am going to call this week though so hopefully its not too late! Also has anyone ever ordered the Celebration Cake that they have waiting in the stateroom? My husband was thinking about this for my birthday but I told him that I am pretty sure they can do a cake during our dinner seating that night. I wasn't trying to persuade him not to do it but wondered about the size and quality versus the one they do in the dining room for special occasions?


LeiLani : I hope your trip down here went smoothly!!!! Its so exciting that we are going to meet someone else going on the cruise! I think our official cruise countdown is going to start on Thanksgiving. Heck who I am I kidding....we have been counting down since we booked!

I called The Perfect Gift on Thursday. They were swamped & returned my call Friday mid-morning. I am sure you can still order something, but they may need to return your call, so be prepared to have an idea of what you want to order. Shirley is actually cruising the Wonder on 12/12.

I am really excited for Martinique as well. No excursions, just ambling about. Going to call home from one of the pay phones there and see how much snow is at my Aunt's in Buffalo

Feeling a little better. Escaped and got 90% of the Thanksgiving meal shopping done. Wrapped some pressies and am hoping to get a few mailed before Thanksgiving. Wrangling Christmas cards and going to get cracking on those. Fells like it is going to be GO-GO-GO until we leave.

I'm not even apart of the FE exchange but since this our first cruise I really wanted one. I figure I can put some little surprises in it for my 5 year old daughter.

You are so EVIL to call your Aunt!! : But I love it. We aren't doing excursions either. I just want to wander in and out of boutiques, eat some amazing food, and hit up the grocery store to pick up a bottle or 2 of wine to bring back on the ship. Oh, and some stinky cheese and bread. YUM! I love visiting France so I think I am going to love St. Martin, Guadalupe, and Martinique. I've ordered some Euros and have been teaching my daughter some small, easy phrases in French. My French is absolutely horrible but I like to try and speak the language.

Hey all!

I'm just about caught up! Rick's work computer went caput this week so I've loaned him my laptop. Makes for a challenging time. I have the Netbook to use, but there's only 1 aircard between us now- so I need to find wifi to jump onto or wait- since work comes first.

So FE gifts are done, just need labels. One suitcase is packed- the rest have to wait till we get back from the 12/12 cruise on the 16th. Button maker is located, as are supplies. Guess what Thanksgiving Day project is! I may need the DOTD pictures without the writing. Kitster- can you send those to me please? TheBeadPirate@aol.com. Finish embroidery projects for people is slated for Thursday also.

Goal is to have everything done for both cruises by end of the weekend. All I want to have to do is pack clothes for 12/12, then do a quick laundry turn around when we get home before heading back to the port.

Just finished morning walk with my dad. It is great spending time with my family. DH's plane lands at 8:30, and then it is massage and facial time.

Got my Xmas formal night dress (was meant to be £30, got it down to £18 as new look were having 20% off and it was a bit damaged (but reparable) and was only one in stock )

Few more bits and bobs for FE, and I'll attack those this week, got my train tickets for a job interview I have in London on Friday and booked in to have my nails done on thursday.

All in All, a very excting disney day

And to top it all off 21 Days until we fly to Orlando Int to spend five Magical Days at WDW

Also, I usually buy iron-on fabric sheets to put through my computer to cut to the right size for the names or pictures or whatever you want on the pockets.

I started trying to remember where our other fish extenders were and began stressing. I'm still not sure if the others are in out Owners Locker or not, but no more stress I leave on vacation in 11 days. Stephen may get to meet me in FL, since there's a good chance he'll be leaving immediately after Thanksgiving on another business trip. We'll know more after the NASA managers meeting today concerning the shuttle launch date. That means we have to have everything packed and ready to go by THIS weekend !!!! UGH.

Got all the kids' Christmas and birthday presents today in the mail. Just spent the last hour sorting everything into what needs to get packed, what stays here, what needs to get wrapped, etc. Whew!

Kind of a funny feeling to know that all of my shopping is done before Thanksgiving!!! When I'm in the U.S., I'm normally one of those crazy people standing in line outside ToysRUS on Black Friday at 4am! I don't think I've ever had all my shopping done this early before!

Today I ned to get 6 orders for pumpkin chai cheesecakes baked and then I am done until we get home from our cruise. YAY!!

A while back I swore I read something about Snow White coming into the kid's club to hang out. Does she do that? Also, when do most of the little girls wear their princess dresses? My daughter is so excited to wear her Evil Princess dress I think her head is going to explode. LOL

Thanks for the advice Connie. I did finish yesterday. But after $22 in supplies and too many hours of labour I really should have just spent $25-$30 on ebay. Live and learn. I am proud of my effort, but can't help thinking about all the other things I could have accomplished with the hours I put in on making the FE! I like the pvc idea, I left a pocket for a dowel, but I could run ribbon through the pvc.

Now just labels to make (which I can handle, no problem) for our FE gifts.

Hi Christie!

Trip went great and we got to see my parents yesterday so that was really nice. I left you a message today so give me a call when you get a chance. We are all excited about to meet you guys on Wednesday. DD - Brittany flies in tomorrow morning and then I think we are going over to my parents again for a little while. Can't wait til Wednesday!

We can't wait to get to Florida!! It has been snowing for the last 2 days. It is now below 30 degrees outside and the wind is blowing and still snowing.

No better time to get back upstairs and work on the FE gifts. I even started to set some things aside for packing. I have even started to finalize our transportation/meal plan and park tickets. Goodness, who knew all this would take so much time. Now, just have to decide on our excursions.

I hope everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving! I will be up early cooking the family dinner since we are going to be gone at Christmas.
