Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) - PART II

Vicki,

Thanks for the "so far" list. I have a few changes. I'll pm you exact details --time and names are at my office. But they do like this:

Beach by Motorboat Shuttle? In Guadeloupe.

And in St. Thomas we aren't doing Buck Island, we are doing Water Island Bike excursion.

thanks! Wendy

My DH can't get off of work until Dec 16 and DS has school and I don't want to miss to many days - but I really want to go do the parks before the cruise. I would really like to take in all the Christmas decorations plus I heard that mid December is a great time to go crowd wise.

We DH says go - I don't know if I should alone - I don't know if I will enjoy myself? They will join me on Friday if I do but that means I could have 4 days to myself?

Here is my question to you? Would you go to Disney World for 4 days by yourself?

Have everyone go to a park on the 17'th. One is better than none.

Hey everyone!!

I was just told about this group and I am so glad to be a member!!

My husband, 5 year old daughter, my mom, and I are so excited to being going on this cruise.

It is truly going to be a trip of a lifetime!! I am most excited about getting to Guadalupe! I can't wait for our excursion there!!!

:welcome: Welcome Aboard! :welcome:

We have a great group here on this thread and I'm glad you found us! Make sure you read the first post - we have a lot of events planned and bigAWL has done an excellent job at keeping it all so organized. Thanks Aaron!

Yes, Yes, and Yes!:thumbsup2

I was actually at WDW by myself for 3 days this past summer and I had a blast. I was able to walk around and enjoy the things that DD's normally don't want to do. I also enjoyed the dessert party by myself one night and it was a lot of fun. With it being Christmas time you will be able to take in all the decorations in the parks and resorts. I would say if everyone else was okay with it, then go and enjoy yourself until they get there.

eve - great check list and I think you are doing great so far. Your definitely ahead of me!

Vicki - thanks so much for the excursion list it looks great!

I was thinking it would be nice if there was an ice breaker type questionairre to get to know each other. I am willing to start one - but please improve on it if you want.

I am 48, my DH is 48, my DS is 14, my DD 11.
I was born in Wash. D.C, grew up in LA, I live in Minnesota.
We own DVC.
I am not packed yet.
We are not a formal dress up family.
I love trashy reality shows, politics, reading and swimming.
My favorite part of the Disney cruise is being out on the water and going places.
My DH and I both went thru engineering school and law school - I am a SAHM
I wish so much I could travel to Europe - too expensive.
Best trip was taking tha Magic thru the Panama Canal.
I am Irish Catholic descent.

Alyssa and I put up our tree and Christmas decorations this weekend. We cut back a little but there are certain things we had to put up. Not that I really needed it, but it put me in the Disney mood and increased the excitment for the cruise.

All of the ornaments on the tree are Disney and my two villages are all Disney themed. I have houses for: Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip & Dale, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglet. I also have: Cinderella's Castle, Casey's Store, the Fire Station, and the Train Station. My living room is now full of Disney stuff!:goodvibes

I can't wait for this cruise!

I am 36, DH is 37 (BigAWL), DD9, DD6 (almost 7), DD3 (almost 4)
I was born in California, grew up as an air force brat and now live in Uganda.
We own DVC and will have our first DVC stay right before the cruise.
I am SOOO NOT packed yet!
We love to dress up on formal nights!
I have recently become a Harry Potter fan by reading the books to the girls, like cross-stitch, cats, foreign languages and travel.
On DCL I love that the kids are entertained and I can do whatever I want (including spending time with them at the Mickey Pool!) and don't have to mix my own drinks! Can't wait for a Konk Kooler!
BA in International Affairs with minors in French and History. Will do Masters next fall in National Security Strategy.
I work full time at the U.S. Embassy as the Public Affairs Officer.
I have ALWAYS wanted to visit Tahiti - I'll get there someday.
Best trip was to Bukhara in Uzbekistan - literally stepped back in time 3000 years!
7 ancestors on the Mayflower!

I am an Army flight surgeon, and will have a stock of scopolamine with me if anyone needs them. Feel free to hit me up!

Thanks for the offer. My mom (Maureen) wore a patch on our last cruise and I thought it made her kinda droopy. I am hoping she will try to go without this time. It is nice to know that it is available if needed...

On an 11 day cruise, there are probably going to be days with high seas.

Good thing I read on here some people were receiving their Docs already. My daughter went to walk the dog and usually gets the mail, I had to think quickly and told her that I'd get the mail today. I needed the fresh air!! It's only 78 degrees today!! She looked at me like I was nuts! Anyway, they were in my mailbox and they say right in the front in bold letters "Cruise Documents". How was I going to lie out of that one? Surprise is still intact!!

Nice move, Marguerite!

But if that cat gets out of the bag, we should have the cruise party. :woohoo:

I could do that. We live near the parks and get there at least once a year. The last couple of times, taking my teenage children and their friends, they ditched me and I end up at the park alone anyway. I had a great time. :wizard:

Finally caught up!

Marcy mouse- I would defo go on my own, you can spend 4 days doing whatever YOU chose when YOU chose it. With 3 kids and 2 parents to please that sounds like heaven to me! Add to that you would be in the parks:cool1:

I have almost finished my FE gifts hoping to finish tonight if I can stay away from here for a couple hours.

Please add me to the 5k cc and hopefully my ds's billy and jayden (if they are old enough).
We are also doing the watercraft at CC again myself, billy, jayden and my dad Billy at 1pm

7 ancestors on the Mayflower? Isn't there an exclusive organization fro descendants of the Mayflower?

I am fascinated with geneology - that is really really interesting!

Great piece Renee! Thanks for sharing. I have the latest Passporter. Unfortunately, it doesn't have most of our ports, but I usually go with the excursions rated as 10 in the Passporter and have yet to be even slightly disappointed ... which is why I booked a bike excursion for St. Thomas day (yikes)!

Thanks! I was hoping the most recent Passporter would have our extra ports as well!
