Welcome Aboard!:welcome: It's great to see more people joining our thread. Read the first post, if you haven't already done so, because bigAWL has done a great job of compiling informaiton for all of our events.

While we are discussing alcohol...:drinking1

Do you know if they sell Passoa on board? It's a French pinkish coloured passion fruit liqueur, sold in a black bottle with a tropical sunset on the front :goodvibes

Passoa

Never heard of this one. Maybe you should post on the main thread board to see if anyone knows this one or maybe someone going on a cruise can find out for you.

WELCOME! I've added your family to the roll call on the first page of this thread. But I must admit, I wasn't sure if Jade is a DD or DS.

Passoa

Well I happen to have these photos from the Signals bar. :rolleyes1 I don't see your Passoa here, but that doesn't mean they don't have it on board.

BTW, if anyone is interested, I finally got around to posting some more photos of our Northern European Capitals cruise in June on the DCL Picture of the Day thread. One new one each day - check it out if you like.

Here was my trip report that I did, including reviews of a few new shows that I had never seen that I expect will be performed on the holiday cruise...http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2496040 (Some photos there, too.)

Thought you might want to know about a "tasting" that was on our June cruise. It is a bar tender "mixology" class. It was at the bar in Diversions and looked really fun. You need to sign up at the main desk early. It only takes small groups. Rob and I will be going.

One other new thing on our June cruise was the Sommelier Wine Tasting. We had done a regular wine tasting before, and that was also offered, I think. But the Sommelier tasting promised better wines and was appropriately more expensive (I think it was $30 per person). We signed up and really wanted to go, but were delayed that day (we were busy emptying our bank account in order to buy into DVC for the first time) and missed it completely. Guest Services was nice enough to refund our account for the cost. I'm hoping they have it again on the holiday cruise so we can try again.

Yum, TEQUILA ...... wipeout

BTW, if anyone needs to find our cabin, here's a couple of the many magnets that will be on the door:

Just a quick thought on the FE gifts.

If people wanted to sign up for a day to deliver thier gifts it would make sure there was something everyday. Just something i have read on the boards somewhere.

I can totally see where you are coming from in having people sign up for certain days to do their FE's...however, the potential downside I see with that is that there are so many activities going on throughout the ship and it would be a bummer if you had to miss something you really wanted to do or felt stressed to do the FE's when you really wanted to be doing something else on your assigned day. On our Christmas cruise last year, we all decided in order to make it non-stressful and fun for everyone, we would just pick when it was most convenient for each of us to deliver our gifts. The only rule we made was not to deliver on the first or last evening due to packing and unpacking. Ours was a 7 night cruise with about 21 cabins participating, and we never went a day without a few surprises in our FE. I would think with the size our group is getting, even if we left delivery times open to allow flexibility to everyone we'd still end up with surprises pretty much everyday. Anyhow, that was our experience last year...

Is there a current list of just who will be taking part in the FE exchange? It would be enormously helpful to know just how many items I need to order.

TinkMischief has the FE list. At last count, I think she said we were at 31 cabins. The deadline for signing up is Thanksgiving.

Our wireless was down for a few weeks. It is so great to be back online. I had so much catching up to do. Welcome to all our new cruisers. We are going to have a nice group.

Sommelier Tasting sounds fabulous (for my DH). He was the only person in our family who liked wine until Scott came along:-) They are considering getting the wine package or possibly bringing some bottles onboard.

Kitster, I love your magnets. I need to start thinking about that. I have downloaded several magnets, but that is as far as I've gone with that project.

I just ordered my iPad! I am so excited to take it on the cruise. It will be so much easier than lugging my laptop, as well as all my books across country.

In regard to the FE, just tell me what we decide. We are flexible as long as we have time to organize our FE. We plan to mail them ahead of time so the Thanksgiving deadline works well with that plan.

I cannot wait until the 19th of September. We will be able to reserve our excursion, Palos, and our spa treatments. We are planning to have a slumber party at my sister's house so we can get online in the wee hours of the morning.

Take care and talk to you soon.
PS- I cannot believe that we are under 100 days:-) By the way, Disneyland had some of its Christmas decorations for sale on Main Street. YES!

I really would like to go snorkeling on this cruise with my husband and 11 year old son. Does anyone have any suggestions what would be the best excursion for a family to go snorkeling?

Welcome back Lisa, I was wondering where you went. I bet you did have a lot to catch up on.

The Sommelier Tasting sounds great to me too. We are also trying to put together a private wine tasting for our DIS group. Just let met know if DH and Scott are interested in this wine tasting.

Thanks for adding us bigawl! Jade is a girl princess:
