Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) - PART II

Helped Mom (3princessgrandma) make her FE today! Lots of fun (giggling as she yelled at the sewing machine mostly :lmao:). It's really cute! She'll have to take a picture when she's got the final touches on it to show everyone! So glad that I'm no longer the only one in the family with an FE obsession!!! :confused3

I promise you are not the only one with a FE obession ;)

I showed my mom what I was making for the FE and now she is making them. I went to the fabric store to get more supplies. I have one suitcase that will be filled with FE gifts.
I have also been shopping for new clothes for this cruise. I have lost 80 pounds since January and so nothing fits me at this time. I am hoping to loose a few more pounds before the cruise. I want to wear this really cute dress.
So many things to do before the cruise.

One suitcase just for FE treats? Where are you going to put clothes for 12 days? I still have to come up with a plan, and a fish extender!:scared1: I envy you...:)

Since we are flying Southwest we can have 6 suitcases. One for FE, one for cold weather clothing, and four suitcases for cruise clothing. We are from California and after the cruise we are going to the Midwest to see our oldest son.

Go Mr. Dagny! :woohoo: What an accomplishment! :goodvibes

Phone is doing everything but receiving calls. Have to drive 1.5 hrs to the phone store today :sad2:

Then,

starting to pack :rolleyes1 !!!

Only FYI, saw Secretariat yesterday. Best movie I've seen in quite some time. I was nervous even tho I knew the outcome!!!

Can't wait to walk with new friends on Deck 4. Need to lose 10-15 lbs if I'm going to fit in my dress for the first formal night. Ugg. Will bring a looser one for the second formal. At 5 ft tall it doesn't take much for ne to go up a size. My closet reflects that. :rotfl2:

Hopefully you all might know bc my TA is of no help and I can't ask my DH... Because his company does exclusively DOD work and he carries some kind of DOD identification/ security clearance we are usually eligible for DOD discounts at hotels etc. Would that apply to this cruise? Are military rates out for this sailing? Might I use this to get an upgrade at the port? Just trying to figure this out.... Thanks for any help. :worship:

MickeyTeacher-80 pounds!!! That's awesome!! Congrats!! I myself started working out last week, so workin on it!!! Hope to lose about 20 at least before December.

And 150!! I think I saw on another page...wow, ya'll rock. Just inspires me even more.

I googled and there are no military rates listed for this cruise. It did say however that DOD employess get the discount- not sure about DOD contractors though.

Wow! 80 pounds!!!! That is Fantastic!!! You should be very proud!

I found magnet paper at Office Depot.

There is 5 sheets in a pack for $15. I bought 2 packs...incase I miss something up. ;)

Also, what ARE people doing for pirate night? We dressed up a bit 5 years ago, but not many people did. Is it bigger now? Will we feel left out if we aren't decked out? Most importantly will my DD9 feel left out? Do I need to get her a pirate costume? Can I get a deal after Halloween?

On our cruise 2 years ago, there were a lot of people dressed up for pirate night. Adults and children both. It is a lot of fun and the pictures came out real cute. This weekend I just finished putting together costumes for myself, DH, DS (11), DS (9), and DS (5). It is fun pirate:

Has anybody gone to the Harry Potter theme park? Is it too crowded? :confused3
We are debating going before the cruise.

We are debating going before the cruise.

We went to Islands of Adventure over Labor Day. We hit the Harry Potter attraction on Friday and we waited 20 minutes. You should be fine if you go during the week :)

My DH and I LOVE pirate night! We go the whole 9 yards on the pirate gear. The hats do get a little squished in the luggage, though! pirate:

I am also in as well. I lost 35 pounds earlier this year and have been successful in keeping it off thus far. Would love to have some accountability to keep me focused!

Can't seem to find the beginning of this conversation....can someone direct me or fill me in? I'd love to join the deck 4 crew. I lost about 28# a year ago, and have had a few creep back (I blame the August Med Cruise: darn that delicious food!).
Anyway....would love to have some walking/running partners on deck 4....I run when my knees allow me...walk the rest of the time! :) What time are people aiming for?
:yay: (working off that Palo food!) :yay::banana:

We are debating going before the cruise.

We get into Orlando around lunch and are planning to go Friday afternoon/evening. My DD9 is a huge fan and we thought we might as well go while we are so close. I hope it's not packed since it's a Friday.
