Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) - PART II

So I'm trying to book at the 105 day mark like I'm supposed to but it will only let me book Palo and St Maarten but not Barbados and Guadeloupe. What's up with that? Anyone else having problems or is it just me? GRRRRR!!!:headache::headache:

Having the same problem. I think I was able to book Palo and Martinique. It looked like I was booking Guadeloupe and Barbados, but they weren't showing up in my cruise plans. I logged off and tried logging in on another browser, but now it's telling me my reservation is currently unavailable and to try back in 20 minutes. Grrr.....

I'm having trouble too, trying to add excursions to DD's cabin. I'm calling DCL when they open at 9am. This is very frustrating!

Once you get everything all worked out, could you let the rest of us know if any of the excursions are sold out? :confused3 We have planned our excursions very meticulously, coordinating with my parents to juggle the different kids' ages, of course this will all fall apart if any of our choices are sold out at the 90-day mark when we get to book.:sad2:

Joann - I'll try to take a look for you once I get all this squared away.

OK!:santa: So far the fishy list consists of:
3princessMommy/bigAWL
Bakerteam
BBQMommy
colkath2005
CrusinLattas
DisneyCamper
DVC4US
HFC1969
IceSk8ersMom
jenedpey
minneapolismickey
NaomiJayne
riggins
SwimMama
thegales
tink&cinderella
tinkmischief
ucancallmetink
Vminick

That is 25 cabins, 44 Kids over the age of 18 ;), 15 kids ages 1-7, 15 kids ages 8-12, 9 kids ages 13-17 :dance3::dance3:

WOW! That looks like a great group for FEs. Thanks tinkmischief for keeping track of all this!

Still having trouble!:badpc:

Apparently, when it says "reservation unavailable..." it has locked you and DCL out of the system and you have to wait the 20 minutes. I called right at 9am and since they are locked out there is nothing they can do until the system unlocks, so I have to call back in a few minutes. They did tell me to make sure I totally logout out of the website not just my reservation. You would think that DCL would have a way to unlock the reservation.

Very frustrating and makes me really curious since I was able to book St. Maarten but had trouble when it came to the new ports.:confused3

I am still having problems this morning, too. Maybe I'll give them a call in a few minutes. My kids are in the room, and they don't know yet that we're going! I was able to book Martinique last night, and I think that is a new port.

Well, shoot....now my reservation is currently unavailable. Grrr...

Same thing with me. I stayed up until midnight last night to book everything and I booked Palo reservations without a glitch. I then booked St. Maarten without any problem but when I got to Guadeloupe and Barbados it looked like I was booking the excursions but they wouldn't show up on my cruise plans. Not a good thing at 12:15am when I'm tired and have had a few glasses of wine. I thought the problem was me so I kept trying over and over again. :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Please let us know when it is fixed. Thanks.

After spending 25 mins on the phone with a wonderful CM(John) we were still having problems and he had to go to a supervisor. Of course my reservation had locked up again(it didn't lock up on my end but it did for DCL) so now I have to wait another 20 mins, but the supervisor is going to take care of adding the cabin to my existing excursions.

For anyone who gets locked out of their reservation or is having trouble with booking excursions:

Log out of the website
Wait 20 mins
Call 800-951-3532
You want help with using the website
push 1 for English
push 2 for existing reservation
push 1 for websit help
Explain the problem to them and hopefully they can help

I told them that other DISers were having issues so they are aware that there is a problem. Hope this helps everyone!

I am supposed to get a call back from the supervisor when she has booked the reservations. I will ask her if the problem is fixed or do people just need to call DCL. I will let you guys know when I hear back from her.

Joann - as soon as I get these excursions booked and can get back into my reservation I will look to see if any excursions are sold out. I did not notice any this morning but I wasn't looking real close.

Another thing for anyone booking excursions - I always book mine one at a time. It is a little more time consuming but I had a DCL CM tell me one time that sometimes if you try to book mutiple ports/excursions it can lock the system up.

So, I'm on the phone with Disney now and the girl I'm talking to is saying that the Guadeloupe and Barbados excursions don't have prices next to them on her end and she thinks that may be why they won't book. She said Martinique does have prices so that is probably why they can be booked. I'm on hold and she is talking to a supervisor. We'll see.....I'll keep you posted.

Good luck! We are headed to Sea World for the day so I will have to check back in later...

Ok, so now I'm good. :cool1: They booked them over the phone for me and I just checked my reservation and the excursions are now showing up in my cruise plans as confirmed reservations. The CM said that they would let the "powers that be" know what the problem is so it can be fixed but that anyone else that wants to can call and explain to them what is happening and a supervisor can book them over the phone for them.

I'm so happy :) this is taken care of and now I can relax.:cloud9:

The supervisor said that he is going nuts. We can not book our excursions to various ports. Well, at least we got a few and Palos. The supervisor is booking the excursion for me. So all is good. Just stressfull last night and this morning.

Just got my call back from DCL and my excursions are all booked!

HEADS UP TO ANY FL RESIDENTS!!!!

My parents just got a call from their TA and DCL has put out FL resident rates for our cruise. They are getting a credit back for almost half the original price. Told my dad the bar bill was all his now!:rotfl2:

So does that mean that military rates are out too?

Good luck! We are headed to Sea World for the day so I will have to check back in later...

Have a great day at Sea World! This is my DDs favorite place. She went to the career camp at Sea World Orlando this summer and had a blast. She wants to be a killer whale trainer.(or trainer of any kind)
