Thanks for putting in all this hard work keeping things updated and rolling. We are really looking forward to this cruise. It's been one heck of a year here near Cape Canaveral with NASA shutting/slowing things down.

Hey everyone!!

We will be joining you on this cruise too!! This will be our 6th Disney cruise but our 1st Christmas one. It is me (Gretchen), DH (Larry), DD10 and DS8.

I was excited before but after reading all the posts now I'm over the top psyched. We would love to come to the DisMeet on the 1st sea day and would like to do the ornament exchange.

I saw quite a few pages back about maybe an adult wine get together. I would love to do this. I do love my wine. So, if there is a list to sign up for this...please add me. My DH may want to join this too.

I also saw that someone was going to organize a brunch at Palo. My DH and I love the brunch and did it with a group of our friends last year in the private room. It was amazing. DH and I would also like to do this with a group ....if it's not full already.

I've been trying to talk some of the friends that went with us last year on the cruise to go with us this year, so we'll see. They are waiting for the government rates to come out, so I'm praying that they do.

Welcome Aboard As Aaron(bigAWL) stated we are still working on a possible Palo brunch and a possible private wine tasting. As soon as we have more information I will let everyone know on the boards.

I know you are in Northern Virginia but DD and her boyfriend go to Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia and his parents live in Virginia Beach. So there's a few Virginians on the cruise.

mickey teachers - I think we have been on a couple of cruises together. We were on the June 16, 2007, Med cruise and we were also on the 2004 10 day Christmas cruise. I think mndisfan was also on the Med cruise.

I know what you mean about planning things to wear. We are also trying to make sure we have any summer stuff we need like shorts, bathing suits, flip flops, sunscreen, etc, bucause here in the mid-west most of that stuff will be out of the stores soon and we won't see it again til March. I'm going to the store tomorrow and one of the things on my list is sun tan lotion. I know(from experience) we won't be able to get that here in Iowa in December.

Finally got together with DH to decide on excursions: St. Maarten - fishing; Barbados - Harrison's Cave; Guadeloupe - Zoological Park; St Thomas - Butterfly Secrets. Exciting to explore new places with our grandkids! Just hope tours are not booked before we get the chance. Can't believe so many people are hopping onto the disboard after so few on the Baltic cruise. Going to be fun. Would like to join the group at Palo brunch and wine tasting if that gets going.

Good Evening Everyone!(Early Morning for those across the pond!)

Info for everyone:

1. DIS meet - right now 3princessmommy and I are trying to plan this for Sunday, Dec 19th at 2pm. We have requested a location for this event and we also requested a cash bar. As soon as we hear back from DCL we will let everyone know the specifics. We are also planning on doing the ornament echange during this time.

2. Palo Group Brunch - I have requested the private dinning room for Monday, Dec 27th. But with my party, 3princessmommy/bigAWL, and thegales, the room is already full. We did not know if someone else wanted to host(plan) another group brunch on a different day. If so, I will see what I can do to help out. You need a minimum of 12 people and a max of 14 people to reserve the room.

3. Private Wine tasting - in talking with concierge I found out that we can book a private wine tasting for our group. It would cost $20 per person and I need a minimum of 15 people. Right now I am looking at doing this on Monday, Dec 20th. I don't have a time yet since this is something that has to be requested with the ship and then they will get back to us. I know some of you have already responded that you would be interested but could you just let me know again so I don't have to look back through all the posts and let me know how many people to expect. I will start keeping a list and once I hear from DCL I will let everyone know.

This will be our first cruise and we were originally booked on the 7 day Wonder cruise, but switched to this one when the Cat. 12 gty became available. Cruisers will be myself (Ed), DW Jennifer and DD (11). We spent last Christmas at WDW, but are looking forward to trying something new this year. We will be finishing off the trip with New Years Eve at WDW before driving back home.

Welcome aboard Ed! We were at WDW last Christmas too! We spent 10 days at Saratoga Springs. We will also be spending NYE at WDW after the cruise, we are staying at Saratoga Springs again.
