Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) - PART II

MOST of our cruises have been full ships, especially our Xmas cruises! It has never felt 'crowded' to me at all. Beauty of the cruise is the numbers are limited, not like the parks, when crowded is REALLY CROWDED! :)

The only trouble at the pool is the never ending habit people have of saving loungers for hours when no one is sitting there. :scared1::mad:

Getting close! Getting excited!

Oh ... so it's not cool to send my DH up to Deck 9 at 6am on sea days to block off 6 chairs for the 3 of us? :rotfl2:

OH BOY OH BOY OH BOY -- I thought they'd be coming USPS and today is a postal holiday. OH BOY, soon!!!!:dance3:

Here is our DGD's birthday cake from 2008. (That would be dear god daughter, not dear grand daughter - we're not quite that old.)

Here's one we caught a glimpse of while on the galley tour.

And there's always the Baked Alaska...

What is everyone ordering from Shirley?

Not sure I want to get a tree, but what other fun things should I consider? Her note to Melanie about being a small business really touched me. I would like to support her!

And I don't want to get snacks, I find cruise food to be overwhelming as it is...too much yum.

And I think I recall someone asking about the Tea with Alice event a while back. Here was one of our Teas. It's a fun little time for the kids. They sing and run around a bit and learn manners while drinking apple juice and taking small bites of chocolate chip cookies.

And while I'm posting photos, I think someone else was asking about Flounder's Nursery. Here's a quick view...

As tasty as Baked Alaska is, the most wonderful part of it is I don't have to make it! :worship::banana::laughing:

Doorbell rang. I thought it might be Mr. Fed Ex. Nope, religious literature. :scared: It seems I am someone's 'project'.

I hear both of you! I was so glad when my parents decided to join us on this cruise. My mom has been battling ovarian cancer for 6 years now and just went through a round of radiation that was really tough on her. So we too are going to celebrate as much as possible and just enjoy being on the cruise with family and friends.

So important to remember how fragile life is, and to take every opportunity to celebrate life with family. That is one of the reasons we love DCL vacations -the entire family can gather and spend quality time together (no washing dishes or grumpily going to the grocery store!) and celebrate. My 3 kids will start going off to college in the next couple of years, so each remaining vacation takes on increasing urgency...

Spent my lunch hour buying delightful FE items! SO MUCH FUN!

Happy Veteran's Day to all our Vets (including the several in my family)!
:santa:

That's the Baked Alaska.

Wow, does that look good. I must make a note to order that. I also want to go on a galley tour, since I've always missed it when it conflicts with the Tequila tasting or something.

The birthday cake in the photo is different than the ones we've had. One was covered with mini marshmallows, and another had white frosting and sprinkles. Both were delicious. Same Happy Birthday edible ship decoration on top.

If I remember from the last cruise, mine went to my Travel Agent, who then had to send them to me, so I received them a few days late.
:santa:

Hmmmm. Expedia is my travel agent for this one. Maybe in a few days I might call to see what's what.

Putting together my FE bags now :goodvibes. Too much fun!

Miss us? :rotfl2:

We got back this morning from a VERY relaxing cruise.

I already unpacked and repacked the cruise bag and am doing laundry. Back to work this week and getting some embroidery done.

Marguerite- John should be on the Magic now.

Thanks for the FE list link! Just waiting on the last cabin numbers so I can do the list merge and print the labels.

DS 15 and I went shopping today. We popped into Goodwill to see if they had any of the donated Halloween costumes...still looking for the Pirate costumes. :sad2: Went to Target a few days ago and not even one halloween item left! :scared1: It was only 8 days after Halloween! Anyway we found the cutest Christmas dresses for $3.50!!!!!! My daughters dress is red with rhinestone accents and mine is a full length black velvet with a beautiful fancy neckline and a long slit. That was also $3.50! I may need to loose a few pounds :rolleyes1 We also found black chunky type heels with the newer style patent leather and red strappy heels that match her dress with rhinestones and also red tie for my son all for $15 :cool1: My daughter didn't even want to come inside. :rotfl2: She was afraid someone would spot her. She has a rep to keep up and all. lol
