Magic bands

Morning!

I have been looking at my booking and about customizing our magic bands. I noticed it shows our home address as the shipping address, but says we can pick up our bands at the front desk. Now this is probably a no-brainer, but is it best to to this?!

If the home/shipping address you enter is outside of the US, you don't get a choice - they'll be waiting for you at the resort when you check in.

you must enter a shipping adress if you want to be able to customise your MBs

enter your own home adress, MBs will automatically be redirected to your resort if your adress is outside the US

if you don't enter your adress, you won't be able to customise your MBs (choose color), and you'll get grey ones at your resort.

Now going to be really girly.... I've just chosen grey for myself, but if that is the colour you get if you haven't chosen, then I'll have to choose another! xx

DD had pink, which i thought was really pretty (even though i'm not a big fan of pink)..
DSIL had blue, which was a nice blue..

DH...hmmm...i can't remember...maybe he had green? also nice.

i had orange - blech...unless you like orange..

if i'd had a choice, i probably would have gone for either pink or green, but i wanted each of us to have our own color..

i think there's also yellow. I didn't pick it for any of us, but when i saw it in the parks, i thought it was quite nice.

but still i think my favorite is the pink (ok..so maybe i am a little girly )

If you want grey id ask for a coloured one and then say i lost it so you get a grey one....then you get two colours!

Since they now sell them, are they still giving free replacements ?

I seem to recall that quite some time ago, there was rumors of one free replacement, then you'd have to pay (it seems that's the policy for Passholders, one free replacement, then you pay)

Does anyone know the current policy on lost MB replacement ?

We're going to reuse our bands from last year when we go this September. Have them linked on mde and all our tickets and fastpasses booked, so fingers crossed it works! Anyone else done this?

i dont' recall there being a purple. Otherwise i would have taken it for myself.
i think the purple you're seeing in that link was when people were predicting what it would look like.

anyway, the colors are whatever is coming up on your link to customize.

Ah shame! Definitely prefer it to the red, and I never have yellow! I was told years ago that it attracts wasps so never wear yellow!!! xx

Yes, we have - no problem at all.
Building up a wee collection now - we have 4 bands each from two trips with 2 resorts each time and will take them with us next time we go

You can reuse the ones from your last trip and still use the ones you are given on your next trip. They will all work as the bands really only provide access to the information on MDE. When I go in October, I will have 4 different coloured bands and intend to colour cooridnate with each outfit
