magic bands

I am buying military discounted tickets on base but we booked a room through Disney. We still get magic bands right? We just have to link them to our tickets at the park? I hope I'm understanding things right.

We were able to link our Armed Forces Salute tickets to our My Disney Experience account ahead of time even though they were just the green vouchers. So we were able to customize our magic bands and book FP+ ahead of time. We wrote down the name on the back of the voucher to make sure we remembered who was linked to which voucher.

When we had them activated, the CM entered the vouchers, then each person had to scan their magic band to sync everything. Worked like a charm!
