Congrats on the big win yesterday. But I heard Johnny Football say they are still in the hunt for the BCS just as Bama was last year after a loss.

Does anyone know if I should be able to customize mine yet? We are checking in 11/8. But I don't have tickets linked because we are purchasing AP. is this gonna affect customizing them?

my understanding is:

1) you will be able to get magic bands for november check in but they are letting the october people go first. Someone posted it will be a week or two till they turn on november check ins to cutomize the bands.

2) you can get bands but wont be able to take advantage of 60 day in advance FP+ without tickets linked to each person who wants FP+. I'm not sure, so you wont to read the bazillion threads all over disboards (almost like bands and FP+ should have their own boards for the transition-lol)- BUT i think (NOT CERTAIN)- you can buy vouchers for AP now, perhaps even online, and then link the vouchers to the magic bands and your reservations and be able to get FP+.

So you probably want to check in MDE (or are we calling it MDX) once a day and see if you can customize bands yet. And also probably want to investigate further about getting AP vouchers in advance to link to you accounts in order to get FP+ before you get there.

Oh, no Railmail! Time to get caught up! Your best bet is to do a search on the DIS for Magic Bands... They are the new Next-Gen technology Disney is using as a replacement for your Room Key, park passes, fast passes, dining payment option. It is a wristband that you can "touch"to a sensor which is equipped with a RFID chip.

Disney is in the process of rolling them out now and the bugs are being worked out through this "testing"phase. I personally hope it really works and ends up being a real benefit to the customer, as well as Disney!

My bands arrived today!!!!! We are doing a split stay with one set of park tickets. We are staying at the Pop first and will be able to use them for our entire trip after that.
