looks like another thread states that Arrival date of Oct. 21 – 31: Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground for fp+ and magic bands. so no dice for us earlier dates.

I am staying at Coronado Springs Oct. 18-22 and I was able to customize Magic Bands today. I can also get FP+ but I haven't done so yet. I was very surprised when I saw the option for Magic Bands!

Bummer that we will just miss the cutoff. I'm glad I booked the room only at POR. Hopefully we will still be able to us them at FW since we literally miss the cutoff by a few days.

Wahoo I may be okay. I check in on Oct 26. The web site is letting me customize my bands now but I haven't completed my order. It may not let me yet since I don't have any tickets attached yet.

That was me! We're at the Fort from 10/21-10/31. I could customize my bands this morning. My parents are at the Fort from 10/21-10/25 & also got the option. Very exciting!

Thanks to reading this thread I checked on My Disney Experience and found I could customize bands for our group! We are checking in @ BWV on Oct 18. However I am staying the week before at FW, so bummer on no Magic Bands for that part of our program.

You'll be able to use the bands for your stay at FW too

How? I arrive at FW the week before BWV? Do I bring them with and take them to the Front Desk at FW? That is assuming they will arrive before we leave!

I did call the Disney IT desk and they said I cannot use them before the 18th.
However I should receive them within the next week.

If anyone else is going and doing a split stay... please report back! It would be nice to get these in use for the previous week.

I guess this is why everything is still in a 'testing phase'. From what I've heard, as long as your Magic Band is linked to your tickets over the duration of an entire split stay, then the Magic Band will be active from day one as your park ticket, no matter the resort. But there's probably more to it than was getting reported.

Do you have separate tickets for both parts of your visit, or is one set for the entire duration? If so, can you only link them to your Magic Band for a part of your trip

I have an AP so it is linked to both stays. However, so far I am unable to go online and choose FP+ passes before Oct 18th...

Hmm ... based on what I'm reading here's my best guess/theory ... which may be proven wrong as more info comes around:

Split Stay - MB Active Resort > Non-Active Resort
MB / FP+ Active for entire trip

Split Stay - Non-Active Resort > MB Active Resort
MB only active for the 2nd part of split stay

Maybe

Popups are welcome at the Fort as much as the biggest Class A. Here is us in loop 100 site 127 this past April. Bama Ed

I will be moving over to BWV on the 18th. Almost makes me want to consider adding on a day at one of the value resorts to see if that would work? Then FW would be sandwiched between 2 Magic Band test resorts!
