Magic Bands Re-Use Question

So I think we threw out our Magic Bands from last year. We are going again in April.

- Will our new reservations be automatically linked to our old bands or will they send us new ones?
- Do I have to deactivate the old ones or report them as lost on the MDE site before they will send us new ones?

Your new resort reservation will have WDW send you new Magic Bands. Check your MDE account to see when your deadline to customize is. You do ont have to do anything for your older Magic Bands. Nothing is loaded on to the band itself but rather loaded to your MDE account that the band accesses.

There's nothing on the bands. The bands are just a "gateway" to your MDX account. Any band assigned to you will be able to access your account. Since you have a resort reservation you will automatically get new bands. You can go on MDX and customize them. If you have not already you should go into MDX and deactivate the ones you threw away. Not that anyone would be able to use them without knowing your PIN or password, but since you threw them away you might as well deactivate them.
