Magic Bands questions

Hi everyone.
We have our first stay at the Fort scheduled for the end of January. We will be traveling during the month and won't receive mail in a timely fashion.
Given that the MB are sent out some time prior to reservation, does it make better sense to just buy tickets when we get there?

I'm not sure what other options there are for this so I am open to any suggestions.

Not sure if this helps or not, our trip is scheduled for the end of next month and we got our magic bands in the mail today. They also provide a tracking number when they ship so you can keep track of the shipment. Hope that helped. Also, you can customize the bands on mydisneyexperience.com and can specify a shipping address.

I've heard of folks picking up thier magic bands when they arrive at thier resort, but that may just be the grey generic bands.

It can't hurt to check with Disney reservations to see if you can specify to have your Magic Bands available at check-in, sort of like will call.

Considering that you can not use the FP+ without tickets for each person on you reservation I would recommend buying the tickets earlier. But be aware tickets are nonrefundable but never expire if not used. Just in case you have to cancel.

You can customize the magic bands until 30 days prior to your trip and then the are shipped to you. If you don't customize them they issue the gray ones when you arrive.
