Yes, the MB+ works on the Magic. The older MB2 does not.

Yes, all DCL ship now have the ability for you to use MagicBand+ (but it is not required to use them, and you still have to use your Key to the World card to get on/off the ship at ports).

To be clear, the older bands do not work on the Magic, even to open stateroom doors. Correct?

I don't have the MB+ so maybe I'll buy one for this reason.

Has to be a MB+. The older versions will not work on DCL.

Correct, only MB+ will work (and that does for everything-opening doors, charging to stateroom, etc.)
