Has anyone ever had this happen to them? Our post office is a disaster and constantly delivers packages to the wrong houses. As per the tracking, our bands were out for delivery yesterday. They never showed up. We check in on October 16th. I absolutely do not want the grey magic bands from the front desk. We are staying on property for the first time bc we wanted to try the magic bands. We were excited about our customized bands.

Do you know if disney would send another set?

Have you tried contacting the post office to see what happened? If you knew it was out for delivery then it obviously had a tracking number on it. They should be able to track it down and locate it.

I don't know if they'd send you another set, but I'd start with the post office first.

My little rural post office isn't one of the best either. It's only been a day so I would give it until the end of the week. As far as the USPS website for tracking, that's another mess. I sent very important papers to an attorney. I sent them certified-return receipt requested. I tracked it on the website. It showed " out for delivery " in the attorney's town. It continued to show that for 2 days and then I contacted the USPS 800 # listed on the site. Long story short, it was delivered. A week later the site still was " stuck " in out for delivery mode :confused3 I have yet to get the receipt back. This was over 2 months ago.

If it is truly lost I'm sure Disney will help you, I think you would have to have them re-sent approx. 12 days prior to your reservation.

My post office is also very bad with deliveries. In the past six months, we have had several packages listed as "delivered" that did not show up on the delivery date. They actually were delivered 2-3 days later. I contacted the delivery supervisor at the main post office and his answer was "Somebody is not doing his job."
I would contact your delivery supervisor and see what they can tell you. Your local post office should be able to give you the number.

I have even had a UPS package that was listed as having arrived at my local facility and being out for delivery for two days and it finally arrived the third day it said it was out for delivery.

If, for some reason, you don't get your MBs before you go, you can always order some of those sticky band covers and then put them on your grey bands. They work very nicely, and aren't expensive at all!!

I would wait a few days until I contacted Disney. It is probably at the mail facility just waiting for the carrier to add it to the truck. :)

Out MB's were out for delivery for two days, too. :)

Here's what happened with our MagicBands just a couple of months ago:

- Disney shipped out the first pair, but when USPS tracking said it was delivered to our house, we didn't get anything
- I checked with neighbors, nada
- I waited a couple of days, still nada
- I called Disney, they apologized and took care of us by deactivating the Bands in the original shipment, and shipping out a new set (same colors as we previously ordered)
- A couple of days later we got shipping confirmation of the new MagicBands
- But that same day, as I'm mowing the lawn, I notice a box on my neighbor's porch...
- Turns out it was the original shipment; it had just arrived late and was delivered to the wrong house

But, basically, Disney will send you new Bands if they get lost in the mail, and the Bands will be the same colors you originally ordered.

I freaked out in the spring because tracking said my bands were delivered and they were not. I checked with neighbors on both sides. The street one away from us has a very similar name (i.e. Spring Glenn and Spring Garden, the names are that close) and there is a house there with the same house #; they sometimes get our mail and we sometimes get theirs. I went over there twice but they were not home. There are also apartments on the end of my street and I was afraid they were delivered to some random apartment.
The Post Office said it was a new person on the route that week but she had marked down that she delivered it. Sure enough, it came the next day. I don't know if the postman found them at another place or just didn't really deliver them, but they got there.
I was going to give it three days to make sure before I called for a redelivery.

Thanks for your help everyone!

I wouldn't be as concerned if we had a "normal" post office. However, this is a constant problem. I ordered a bathing suit last month, and it was also delivered to the wrong house. Luckily a nice person dropped it off at my house. We also get mail and packages for the wrong address. This past christmas, a computer was delivered to my house in error!

I've also had this happen with paper mail. I've spoken to the person in charge at my local post office, but nothing changes.

I'm hoping the person who received my package leaves the box on the steps so the mail person can take it back!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this will work out.
