Magic Bands info for the new test dates in August

So many differences of opinion on this.

I check in 8/30 at YC and the website allowed me to order bands and book FP+. I was able to link my AP but not my wife's. I called IT about it, and the girl, who was very nice, told me I am outside of the test window which ends on 8/25. Her first question was, "Did you receive an email?", which I have not. She was confused as to why I was able to customize bands and choose FP+. She said that most likely, the bands would not be coming and the FP+ would just drop off the system.

It seems like there is a lack of communication between IT and the Resorts. I can see how there might be a glitch in the system allowing late August checkins to book, though. If someone is just checking in on 8/25, then what would Disney do? Just let them make FP+ and use magic bands for one day? No, theyll extend it for the length of stay, possibly even into September.

Where does this leave me? That remains to be seen. Its not making or breaking my trip to be able to use a magic band. It would be cool. Ill mostly be at Stormalong Bay anyway

Im expecting an email from Disney IT regarding my inability to link my wife's ticket to the ressie. If I get a response that pertains to MM+, Ill copy it here.

I'm staying at AKL 8/25 - 9/6. The last day I was able to customize my bands was 31 days before check in. I have already received my bands in the mail and am able to book FP+ for every day of my trip. The timeframes for you trip and customizing your bands seems to be different among the testers. Really confusing this time.

According to the website, the last day to customize my bands is today 7/30, so the same for me, 31 days before checkin. How long after this date did you receive your bands?

I did receive a response form Disney IT regarding my wife's pass. They stated that:

"While checking on your account we were able to verify that all your passes are showing up and you and your wife should now be able to select your FastPass+ options."

Well, I still dont see my wife's pass on the website and I was already able to select the FastPass+ options and have done so, so im not sure what progress Ive made.

Got the email today at the 17 th day at 2:15. I was worried at first but there it was in my spam folder!!!

I'm hoping I will get to use magic bands during my October trip. Probably to soon to tell if they will be testing still at that time. Seems like a majority are August-early September trips right now.

I got a BOG lunch FP+ reservation.
Got my reservation time and meal ordered for the end of August.

Also got my Magicband in the mail yesterday.
It is thinner then I thought it would be. I thought it was a thick band. It was uncomfortable at first but once I started bending the plastic band to wear it in it got better. Guessing that is one reason they send it out to you early so you can get it comfortable for yourself before the trip.

It says to pick 3 but always gave me a 4th one
Once selected I was able to customize the times for each FP each day

Also, we're not getting our tickets until we get there so I can't even link them to FP+ now so I can book FPs..... and this is a short 3.5 day trip so I'm not going to have time to waste playing around on my phone trying to figure it all out, lol.

But, does anyone know if theyre doing FPs for Fantasmic during this testing?

Yes, you get them in the mail if you customize them. Yes, they have FP+ for select F! shows.

Did you link your reservation on MDE? I think that may trigger the magic band option in MDE for you to customize and order the bands?

No BOG for me. It wouldn't take my package reservation. So not thinking I put in my RO reservation. Great took that. But we are only there for one night before our cruise. So it wouldn't let me go back and put my magic band number in. I believe if I did that in the first place it would have worked correctly. So what ever you do don't mess it up the first time.

Yes - I have a fast pass for fantasmic during our stay. So glad cuz I really did not want to wait in line for hours or eat somewhere I didn't want to for the package.
