Magic Bands are live on DME!

Has anyone here who is booked in any month other than August been able to use the fast pass plus options on MDE? Has anyone booked at any place other than the above mentioned resorts been able to use the fast pass options on MDE?

We are staying at the Contemporary for the portion of our August trip that is allowing FP+ selections.

So now it appears that posters who are staying at CR, AKL, Yacht Club and Pop in August have been allowed to use the fast pass plus options. I also see where someone is doing a split stay at AKL and BWV was allowed to customize their magic bands. I also just saw someone who is staying at ASMu who was allowed to customize their bands.

Anyone else?

I've got a package booked by TA at GF, and a room-only at Poly in late August. I see the Magic Bands and FP+ window like others, but no bands/cards listed. Would love to know how they're working this.

I'm the one doing a split stay between AKL and BWV. AKL is room only and at the beginning of our trip and is for DH & I only. I was able to customize DH & my MBs but was not able to access FP+.

We're doing a family reunion and the BWV portion of our trip is with a total of 22 people. We booked BWV with DVC points and I have everyone's reservation linked to my DME account. I've also made one separate room only reservation for my niece and her boyfriend at ASMu. She doesn't have her own MDE account. I don't see/can't customize anyone elses' MBs.

I'm going to edit my niece and her boyfriend's MDE information and make them family instead of friends to see if that allows me to customize their bands.

I booked my package with tickets and dining plan. I don't know if this would make a difference, but I booked with a PIN code that was sent to me.

I am staying at Pop on a room only reservation starting August 17, and I was able to custimize my Magic Bands today. I am an AP (voucher) holder and I have NOT linked my tickets on the website, but it appears that if I do, I will be able to make FP+ selections.

The thing is, Pop is at the end of a split stay for us and I have 2 concerns:

(1) will my Magic Bands make it to me before we leave on August 10? If they don't, and arrive while we are away, how much will that mess up our tickets/reservations?

and

(2) If I link my AP voucher number, will that impact our ability to pull regular FP's on the first half of our trip? Or, heaven forbid, will that ACTIVATE my AP's now? It shouldn't, I know, but....

Well changing DNiece and her boyfriend's status from Friend to Family didn't do anything. I wonder if it's because they don't have a DME account. DH does and I was able to do his MB.

@ Mom-2, DH & I have AP vouchers that are linked to our DME accounts. I'm not able to access FP+.

Does anyone know if the people who have access to FP+ have "active" tickets?

Although I would LOVE a Magic Band, I'm scared to link anything or order one! I know from reading the Fastpass+ thread that once you're linked and fastpass+ eligible then you cannot do regular old Fastpass any more I'd hate to lose that capability at this point until I'm forced to by a full roll-out. We go in October, so I'm not sure whether this is avoidable yet or not.

So I'm assuming selecting my magic band would mean no hard ticket for the fastpass machines....

I just ordered 8 magic bands and choose our FP. We have a room only for one night before our cruise so we go MB for that. Looks like all 8 bands will be mailed to my house. I printed off everything.

No I have a package and room only. Was able to order magic bands for both and then set up my FP . I only did the FP for the package since the room only is for one night before we leave on the dream.

Either it's random or it's being rolled out to everyone as the system updates. Doesn't seem to be any common thread of resorts, dates, room only, AP, DVC, package, dining, etc.

I'm worried about this too. It does look like, at least for now, that when you select to enroll in FP+, you give up being able to use your ticket in old FP machines.

Here is what my FP plus looks like. There is lots of empty day because we go the the WP. We are on the qsdp. We did have 2 adrs and I moved one because it was interfering with my preferred fP option I wanted. We check in on 8/22 but are going to legoland.

I'm at POP at the end of August.
I have a room only.
I have not done on-line check in.

Magic Bands do show on MDE for us (3 each , one is our AP, one appears to be a KTTW card and not sure what the other is).

I did not try to customize the band or pick FP+ since I do NOT want to participate.

That's interesting. Maybe it does need to be a live ticket? I will hold off on linking those AP vouchers for a few days, I think. I don't want to risk messing up the front end of our trip.
