I have yet to order our Disney World tickets. I believe our magic bands are going to be shipped on the 19th of this month. Will it be too late to link the tickets to the band if I purchase them after that time? Should I just do paper tickets and not worry about it? Thanks to anyone who can help.

You don't have to have your tickets before you get your MB's.
The tickets can be linked at any time you buy them.

Just to keep things as clear as possible-

There is no reservation info, or ticket info, or credit card info,

or FP+ info "put onto" a MagicBand.

The MagicBands just contain (and weakly "transmit") a unique serial number that is used to access the information that is stored in your MyDisneyExperience computer file.

So, even if you were to lose a MagicBand, the info stays locked in your file.

Disney can just set up a new band (different serial number)

to access the info in your MDE file.

Disney can also issue ADDITIONAL MB's to a guest and each

additional band can be used for the same purposes as the first band.

So, yes, there can be multiple MB's per person, and each of them can be used by that person.

The MagicBand works like the combination to a locked safe, or a key to a locked door.

The MB, itself, is not the file of info or the container of the info.

The MB just unlocks the file of info, allowing it to be accessed from your MDE account when needed.

All of the above post notwithstanding...

If you are staying at a WDW resort and you are getting your MB sent to you soon,
and you don't have tickets...

You have missed out on pre-scheduling your FastPass+ reservations by several weeks.
Many (most) guests of WDW resorts schedule their FP+ at 60 days (plus) before their first day in the parks.

Do you not wish to schedule FP+ in advance?

No Robo, I didn't particularly want to do our FP in advance. I know things change, but the last time we were there on spring break, we only had to use FP twice. And I think I ended up giving one of those set of FPs away to another family because we didn't need them. I know that if I change my mind, I can schedule 30 days out too...I know..that's for offsite guests. We were always at the park at rope drop and never had more than a 20 minute wait on any ride we waited for. :)

That's fine. I'm not a major fan of FP+ at all, myself.

But, I didn't want you to miss out if you just didn't know the timing issues.

nothing is linked to the magic band.
its linked to MDE.
you can link a ticket at any time.

By stating that the last time you used fastpasses you gave them away, it appears that the last time you used fastpasses it was legacy fastpass. The game is different now.

I'm well aware of that. The statement was only made to let Robo know that even at spring break because we took advantage of EE, FPs weren't needed....
