  • We arrive Weds 7th at the Grand Floridian for a week. Several members of our party are staying at the Poly. The discussion settled on pools. The majority of us agree that you can't pool hop. But another member said it is extremely easy to pool hop at Grand Floridian.
  • My question is since we are paying for a deluxe and it's perks how diligent are the CMs at checking bands and is it true they are accepting 1 from each party...not one for each guest?
Just want to be able to tell this person they are way off base and not to try it and embarrass himself and the rest of us!!!

Thanks

Why not just explain the situation and ask permission from the Lifeguards at the Pool you want to use and let them tell you yes or no?

Pool hopping is not allowed. When CMs check, they check everyone. They checked my then 10 year-old son, for example.

Now my experience is 2 years old, but in the 6 times I have stayed at the GF I have never been asked to scan my MB to gain access to the GF pools. Granted my previous visits have been off season but it's not like the GF pool is like SAB.

Pool hopping is not allowed. If you want to have your friends join you they must ask the Lifeguards. I would tell you friend that you will not participate in this unless they ask permission because you do not want to be penalized fo the folly.

What penalty?

I have no idea if there are actual penalties involved, but it would not surprises me if Disney added this to the OP files. This would not be something I would want notated as a guest.

I can understand how a party would want to spend some pool time together, but on the other hand I would consider the other resort guests as well. Paying for a deluxe resort or any resort on property gives you exclusive access to your pool, and already the pools are very crowded.

By wanting an exception to this rule it would mean that anyone could join in on a pool that is not their own resort's.

It may be unfortunate but exclusivity is exclusivity.

I agree with trambach, pool hopping isn't allowed, but it's more about curtesy to the other guests staying at that resort. I'd be pretty upset if I couldn't find a pool lounge because they were taken up by people from other resorts.

The penelty would be they'd be asked to leave.

Broke his ankle so his vacation is postponed....so sad.....hmmm :crutches:
Again I appreciate any input that was given. And I whole heartedly agree....a rule is a rule!
So back to a happy and relaxing vacation....:tinker:
