Did you use your watch? I'm curious how much it drains the battery, if more than normal. Thanks!

It didn’t drain any more than normal. Made it through 16-18 hours. I definitely recommend trying it and you can bring MagicBand as a backup if you already have one.

Word of caution... we made an order for our MagicBands on January 30 (7 total) in preparation for our mid-March trip. Order was cancelled yesterday and email said to go back in and select new options. But now something is messed up in my MDE and it thinks I've already made an order so I can't make new selections.

With call times over 2 hours both times I've attempted to call, I've sent an email but I'll be quite annoyed if we can't still get them ahead of time for a discounted rate. We have some from 2 years ago that we could try (though we will be doing Memory Maker so the ride photo part is pretty important to me) but people traveling with us have never been before.

I get that there are supply issues but I would have preferred an option to modify versus cancelling the whole thing and messing up my MDE. Ugh.

Go to your reservation, look at bottom of screen where it says select magic band. click get started and select person it for. you will see one pop up
.scroll to the right..first plain to appear is raspberry..marked $10 Scroll through the choices in MDE. They are mixed in with the fancy ones.

How do I purchase just 1 magic band this way? There are 3 people in my party and I'm not seeing a way to check out with just one. Thanks

Yep, but unfortunately there is no way to buy a magic band later for those you decline. It would be nice to checkout separately for each band as things come available, but I also understand the saving of shipping all those bands individually.

Had I known before the trip my Apple Watch could be set up to work exactly like a MagicBand for park pass and hotel, I wouldn’t have brought my band. Still very nice for the kids though.

At your hotel, you would be limited to room charging with the Apple Watch. At this time, it can't be used to unlock your hotel room door.

Do you have an upcoming room reservation booked and is it linked to MDE?

If yes, on the MDE website select "My MagicBands and Cards" from the MyDisneyExperience drop down menu. At the top of that page is should show your reservation.

Ugh only 13 magic bands available this morning. The selection has been so limited lately! I still have 60+ days to choose mine, but it's turned into a chore to check MDE every day to see if they've added any new ones. Still hoping that one day soon there be a huge selection suddenly available, but not holding my breath!

Thank you! I know Genie+ totally drained my battery. I used my MagicBand on my last trip and I had my watch on, would be nice to use only one!

You can only place one order. You can decline MBs for some members, but you will not be able to go back and order for the rest in MDE.

Previously I had found only the raspberry color on MDE. Now that I'm ready to buy them I don't see any plain ones! I suppose no one knows when they will have at least something plain again.

The raspberry is back, at least it is showing currently($10).Also the silver and rose sparkle($15). I check often and have seen very little selection in the plain colors; hopefully they will return soon.

PS: If you're good with pink, that rose sparkle one looks amazing in person. I bet the silver would be just as good. It doesn't shed glitter everywhere either (yet, I have no faith in ANY product in the world keeping glitter in place forever).

I ended up buying one for my son and one for his girlfriend. The magic bands did not ship, but were waiting for them at the resort front desk. It worked out well, and the bands are cute! I got the sparkly pink and the 50th anniversary. Good Luck!
