Magic Band Swap

My dad recently booked a family trip to the world. The last time I was at the parks was when the magic bands were still in the testing phase. My mom normally does not ride the Big rides (RNR and TOT). If we make the FP+ reservations for her, can i take her band and ride one of the rides again. I did this while in the testing phase.. Are they becoming more stricter with taking others MB?

Yes...you can use her MB without issue.

We just did this the other day. My youngest has no desire to ride certain rides so her brother or sister used her band and rode with the parent that stayet off with her

Except for tickets, they won't check who the Magic Band belongs too.

Sounds like you're swapping adult for adult.
If someone watching here is swapping a little one's band with theirs for an extra ride, remember to switch back to your adult magic band before trying to charge an adult beverage to your room using a child's MB... Yeah, this is the voice of experience

We still did as of November. A CM actually joked with my husband because he used my daughters pink band as she said have fun and called him by my daughters name.

I was just there in September '16 and don't they do the fingerprint scan too? I cant believe I forgot already....

I could swear I recall scanning my magic band at the park and then scanning my finger print. I bet I'm wrong....

However your memory is correct and there is no need to swear. At the gate, depending on your ticket type: you tapped your Magic Band and then scanned a single finger of your choice (either hand, any finger but needs to be the same finger after first selection or it will need to be reset by a CM).

Yes, but just at the gate...not at each individual ride as the OP was asking.

We do this! Four of us and my husband and I are getting a little too old to get on some of the rides like BTMR, we just switch bands so they can ride again. Those fast passes are too hard to get sometimes to let them expire. Plus, we are happy they can ride twice on some of their favorites. The only thing, it's funny when my daughter goes thru and the CM says, welcome "Mike." The CM's are probably used to this. After all we pay for the tickets.

yes I do this all the time. ( my friend dose not like the roller coaster and I do) in fact I have my friends MB and she has one of mine and when we go with out the other we take the other MB with us and use it for FP.

We always do this with the roller coasters. Your name shows up, one guy on the mine train said, "Have fun Phil," to me with a smirk once. But they won't question you.
