What happens if you're doing split stay and one of the resorts is participating in the test, and one isn't? We're going next month, splitting between AKV-Kidani and BCV. To the best of my knowledge, only BCV is participating in the test. So I'm wondering whether we'll be invited to test only for the BCV part of our stay, if the test isn't necessarily resort-specific, so they'll invite us for our whole stay to be part of the test, or whether they'll say "You know what?" This is all just too confusing so let's just skip over them and not ask them to test at all." Anyone been in this kind of split stay situation? If so, what happened? If not, what do you think will happen?

Was there Aug 18th - 23rd. Spent one night at pop century and got the bands....rest of the trip was at SSR. SSR was testing bands yet, but as long as you link all your resort reservations to your MDE account, the bands will work at both resorts. We paid for food, beverages and merchandise with our bands at SSR and it even opened our door to the room. Even put our AP on it. Anything linked to MDE will be on the band.

Which resort are you staying at first? If BCV, you should be able to use the bands at both. If Kidani, it may be a bit more complicated. When do you check into BCV? If in October, you should be able to go in and customize bands and pick FP+ now, you don't need to get invited. I did read that someone who had the test resort as their second stay could still book FP+ for the first part of their stay, but it had to be done through guest relations possibly? It wasn't available for them to book on their own. Or something like that.

Edit: Simba's Mom, I just read on another thread that before your trip mentioned in this thread, you are also doing a trip to Jambo in September? Do you have an annual pass? I'm guessing yes. I believe that because of your trip in September to Jambo, you are now eligible no matter when you go or where you stay after. This is my opinion, based on things I have ready throughout the boards. I'm pretty sure that after staying at a test resort, especially if using an AP, even if not staying on property (nevermind even at a test resort), you should be able to use your magic band. At least for FP+. Whether or not it will work for other capacities (room key, room charging, etc), I am not sure. I would imagine that even without an AP, as long as you have stayed at a test resort, and as long as you have tickets linked, you will be able to schedule FP+. Not sure how the upcoming stay at another test resort will play into this, as I know people have received multiple sets of bands if they have split stays.

I was told by a CM on check in that you can have up to 8 bands active at one time. Why you need that many is beyond me. One will work for all. If you already have a band and its linked to MDE, every thing you do later can be linked to that band....whether your future resort supports it yet or not. It will work. If you have a stay that is NOT using the band yet and you don't have a band yet, you won't get or use a band until you get to a resort that has them. One an AP is linked to the band, your band is your ticket.
