Magic Band - Re use the same band?

I have a Magic band that I got on my visit this past February. I am traveling to WDW again in September (so excited ...two trips in one year). Will I be able to use the same magic band or will they send me another one? If I use the same one, I assume I just bring it with me for them to program?

If you're staying on-site, they'll send you another band. However, you can still use the previous band also if you wish. There's nothing actually stored ON the band, it's basically just a "gateway" to your MDE account. I'm taking three of my bands on my trip because I don't know which color I'll want to wear. lol

Yes, you can use the same one. No re-programming necessary.

Addendum to PP's comments: If you stay on site and do not customize your bands, they will not send them to you. When you check in, you can refuse the non-customized bands.

What if you are staying OFF-site? We stayed on-site in April and got MB's. For our trip in November, we are staying Off-site. Can I use my previous MB or will I have to purchase a new one since we aren't on property this time?

Also, if I have different folks in my party this time, can they use MB's from guests in April or will they not program to another person?

You can use your MagicBand(s) even when staying off-site. MagicBands can't be reassigned to a different individual.

I did not know that! That's awesome - color selection is never a bad thing.

All your MagicBands can be used interchangeably as long as they’re active.

Yep. I have 6 bands and DS has 5, and we brought them all and used them interchangeably on our 4-resort stay in January. At checkins they just wanted to see one band and they worked just fine for room keys and admission.

All your MagicBands can be used interchangeably as long as they’re active.

And they are only inactive if you go into MDE and deactivate them.

Think of the bands as house keys. Duplicating a house key does not duplicate the house.
