Magic band questions

I hope they bring it back, as we are getting way too many of the Magic bands and it would be much easier way to stop them.
 
We have a split stay - four nights at All Star Sports and then two nights at SSR. If they send two sets of magic bands, can we just switch to the second set when moving over to SSR? I don't want to mess with anything and end up deactivating them all of something like that. I'll be able to distinguish because I customized the names differently on both sets. Will this work? Also, if we have tickets linked up to MDE will the tickets be linked to both sets of magic bands? i.e. if we only use 2 of our four days while at AA Sports and the last two when at SSR?
Bands are linked to your account. Tickets are linked to your account. The bands will work interchangably through your entire stay. Pick the color that matches your outfit for the day.

Thank you! That's what I figured, but it's our first time doing a split stay so I just wanted to make sure. :)
 

Just an FYI, make sure you link all of your MBs to the door of your villa before using them around the resort. Some resorts have gated pools or laundry rooms or even exterior doors and to access them your MB needs to be linked to your room. DH went down to the laundry at BLT and could not get into the laundry because he was wearing a band that he hadn't opened our room's door with it. We usually bring 2 or 3 bands each, but that last BLT trip we got lax and forgot to activate them all at our villa. And yes we match them to our clothes, or like for our December trip, holiday colors are on the agenda.
 
If I inactivate the magic bands for one of the sets will it work in the room for the first night since it is a separate reservation? Have they figured that out yet, or will we need both sets?

Have they figured WHAT out yet? I have 9 bands and they all work interchangeably. 4 bands were from a 4-resort stay.

Have they figured out how to stop glitching? No. Can't de-glitch the world. Glitches happen.

Bands are SUPPOSED TO work seamlessly. But sometimes glitches happen.

The reason I ask is because in our last reservation I had trouble with having multiple bands. I really wish they would just let you decline new bands... just a huge expense on bands going out when we still have our old ones.

Some people have problems sometimes. Some have problems never. We had worse problems with the RFID cards than we have with bands.

Yet I've never done that and I've had the bands work seamlessly.

Your husband's glitched. The CMs likely made up their story (or are we supposed to say "the CMs have their narratives" now?) based on what they think is happening. All CMs have their pet theories.

The CMs ask me for ONE MB, they do something with it, they ALL work. Between us we have 19 bands, all active. And all work.
 
I was told that the parking gate won't open unless that band has been used to open the room door. It might have been a glitch, but 1) that band worked to open the parking gate after I used it on the room door, and 2) ever since, I've used every band to unlock the door when we first get to the room and I've never had any other glitch ever since.
 
I can't find the "Decline MagicBand" option when I signed into my MDE. Where does it appear?

click on the link to customize them, and then when it lists each person just left of the customize button is a blue hyperlink to decline them. I just did so on my orders.
