Magic Band Question

We had reservations for AoA and we customized our magic bands on MDE. Last week, we decided to do a split stay, so I left our 8 day park tickets on the AoA reservation package and added POR as a room only res. Now there is a new link to customize 4 more magic bands.

Will the same magic bands not work for the entire visit? Will just the room be linked to the second set? Just seems like a waste of money to have a second set of magic bands.

You'll be able to use both sets interchangeably. It is a waste of money but for whatever reason Disney thinks that people need a new set with every new reservation.

You are completely correct it is a waste of money but rest assured you've got 4 more coming ; ). They work interchangably so you can use either set at anytime. We are a family of 3 and are the proud owners of 18 of them with 9 more on the way for next trip ; ).

I think Disney gets a bonus the more they hand out! Wife and I each got two for a sit stay in Dec. We had another split stay in May and I didn't bother with them.

When we checked into the BWV they were there waiting for us! I told the CM I didn't want/need them so he recycled them.

A few days later...same thing at Bay Lake. BUT! The next morning they were sitting in our room! I guess while we were out somebody brought them to us.

Part of me wishes I would have ordered all different colors but then the rational part of me realizes that is just more crap I have to worry about!
