Magic band question

Ok not sure if this is the section for this but here it goes. i just received my pap holder magic bands. they do not say anything about dvc member. is that ok. also i have three trips coming up may,july, and october (two separate res. in october split rooms). on the my magic experience web site i had to go on and order four sets of bands for all the res. will i have to use only the bands linked to that trip or can i use the pap ones. and the pap bands came with a discount card and says i need my id to use it so do i now have to carry my id,the discount card,tiw card, and dvc member card with me? that seems to defeat the purpose of the bands.

There is nothing actually stored on the MagicBands, they are linked to your MDE profile.

Your room reservation, park admission (MYW tickets or AP), FP+ selections, etc. are also linked to MDE profiles.

The MagicBand is just a key to reading your MDE profile. Any and all MagicBands that are linked to your MDE profile can be used interchangeably.

MagicBands do not provide automatic discounts. You will need to show proof of discount (AP Card or Discount Card/DVC Member Card/TiW) and a photo ID.

they need to fix that. defeats the whole purpose in my mind i hate carrying all these cards and was looking forward to the bands just to empty my pockets i will just leave the bands in the room at that point.

Its true there should be a better way.

Every now and then, you read one of the "magic band horror stories" and find out that the bands don't always work. Right now, youll have a better vacation if you carry a few cards, too

Yeah picture this i have a magic band on to get in the parks andf buy stuff but i have to carry a discount card,id,tiw,dvc member card and key to the world in case my door does not unlock with the magic band lol. i might as well not wear the band get rid of the discount card and carry my pap paper card i still need all the other stuff makes no sense to me at all. it only works as planned if you book a package with park passes. once again we pap holders and dvc members are forgotten about.

a picture should be added to the bands. one of the people at the beach club pool told me this is how they are going to handle people using there pool because who wants to carry all that stuff to the pool.
