Magic band question…

It’s been awhile since we’ve been to Disney so I’m trying to remember….does my wife essentially control her own Magic Band from her MDE app? My login is only showing me controlling my band and my son’s, but not my wife’s. Does she have to link a credit card and pin specifically for her band, or is it still all linked under mine since she’s a listed guest? She can currently see all of our plans on her MDE, but we aren’t sure if she has to specify her own credit card and pin credentials. Sorry if this isn’t the right forum, I wasn’t sure the most appropriate one to post this.

Since she has her own MDE account, she manages her MagicBands once they've been linked.

As for the CC, it depends on what for. For room charging, it will use the CC entered during online check in. For mobile food orders, she would need to add a CC to her MDE profile if she wants to use her phone to place an order.

Since she is one of my listed guests, will her magic band be automatically linked to my account? We’re planning on buying new bands this trip since ours are quite old.

Not directly. All of her bands map to her account, and all of your bands map to your account.

She will have her own PIN, but all of your room charges will go to the credit card of the primary guest on the reservation.

Ok well my wife just logged into her account and entered a cc for her mde account but she never got asked to set a pin. Is there not a way to just control her band from my main account and just have one cc and one pin on file for all guests? Or does each adult absolutely have to have their own cc and pin credentials?

She needs her own PIN, period.

Her credit card has nothing to do with anything if you're the primary guest on the reservation. The only thing her credit card would affect would be if SHE booked a trip and was the primary guest.

As it stands, she will use HER PIN to make room changes, which will be applied to YOUR credit card.
