Magic band in AK

We're off site but it's my first trip, so I want a magic band. Out first day is at Animal Kingdom and I want to get one as soon as we arrive. Where is the best place to get one that's nearest to the entrance please? Thank you.

I don't know AK that well as it's not a park we frequent, but the bands are pretty much at every gift shop/stand. Very easy to find.

every store sells them but not every store sells every design.. the shop disney parks app might help you locate a specific band and the closest place on property with it.

edit to add: also you can ship many things home from the park from that app (also check the disney parks section of disney store). you might be able to get it if your willing to pay the shipping before you arrive. some limited bands are only available if you order them and ship it home on the app. (haunted mansion purple for example)

He means the "Shop Dinsey Parks" app, which is different than MDE. It may not be available outside the US though.

Looks like you can have bands shipped from the regular Disney store website if you don't mind the $35 USD shipping.

You might want to check the individual magic bands in the Disney store online. They say they can't ship Magic Bands to Canada either, but I found about 10 that didn't seem to have that restriction and did manage to get 2 shipped to me in Canada.

Looks like you can have bands shipped from the regular Disney store website if you don't mind the $35 USD shipping.

They will not ship across borders, when it is in your cart, it will let you go to check out and then tell you there are no shipping options available for that address.

Not always! It's worth trying, as I have shipped a few to Canada. The plain ones wouldn't work, bug some of the patterned ones sometimes work.

There are a couple of stores just inside the entrance of AK on Discovery Island (the main section where the Tree of Life is). They both should have plenty of magicbands to choose from.

They definitely won't ship to the UK. Never mind. It will be more fun to buy when I'm there, I think.
