Magic band help!

I was looking at how I can link my September 2019 magic bands to our upcoming reservation that’s in less than 3 weeks. It says “to ensure you get all the MagicBand benefits, you may want to purchase a new MagicBand.” Has anything changed since sept 2019 that would change our magic band experience? If genie plus happens to start, will that link? I’d hate to spend $80 on 4 new bands since bands are a must for our family.

If your "old" MBs are visible as active in your MDX account and your upcoming reservations are seen in your MDX account...
then, you are all set for your upcoming trip.

Just as in the past, any MB that is still active in your MDX will automatically work at WDW.

no need to do anything (as long as your new trip is in MDE).....GEN 1 MB's from 8 years ago will still get you into the park and allow you to pay for things or do photo pass. MB's older the 18-36 months just won't trigger long range cameras or interactive things like showing your name on a screen in Small World, or RNR.

Ok thanks. Now I’m hearing photopasses might not work or Atleast the video ones? Should i buy just one new band? Can I access the photos and videos on our account in the app instead or the pictures just won’t ever show up?

Agh, ok. Wondering if I should just get news ones. Are there more of those interactive sites around Disney world? I remember seeing our names on the wall at all star sports. Our kids got a kick out of it

If you want to be "sure" you could buy ONE new MB if you will all stay together at WDW.
