Magic Band advantages?

So we changed our reservation for next September to a room at the Dolphin and it appears we will not get Magic Bands unless we buy and link them. Am I correct in thinking the card tickets we get will do pretty much everything the bands will? I know S/D gets the 60-day FP+ window now, so that's not a concern. Am I missing something, or are we good just using our card-form tickets for everything?

1. That's the case at this time, anyway.
2. Yes.
3. The cards will not automatically connect the "on-ride" photos (and videos) to your MDE account. MBs will.
There are SUPPOSED to be more "interactive" events that the MBs will trigger in the parks.
We don't know how many there will be, their relative desirability, and/or WHEN these "pluses" will be put on line.
If there are enough by the time of your trip, maybe investing $12.95 (plus tax) to buy a MB will be worth it.
