Good afternoon! We have recently booked on the Disney Magic and have cabins 7608 & 7610. They are connecting cabins but we are wondering if anyone happens to know if the balcony divider can be removed by the stateroom attendant? Thanks in advance!
There isn't a list of these unless someone has stayed in them, have you looked in the stateroom reports. Bar the hard wall rooms, near the aft, the majority of the verandah dividers can be opened, there not removed, just unlocked. A few very aft, ( back of ship) do not.
On deck 7 on the Magic about every 5th cabin has a solid steel balcony divider. We just stayed in 7100 and 7102 and the balcony divider opened. However, the divider between 7102 and 7104 was a solid steel wall. The next solid divider aft was between 7112 and 7114. If you mirror that across to the starboard side of the ship I would say 7608 and 7610 will have a divider that opens.
First time on the Magic we were in 6104 and 6106 which had a solid steel divider. We learned from that experience and made sure next time we got cabins with a divider that opened.
If you look at pictures of the side of the ship you can tell where the solid dividers are on decks 6 and 7. They line up roughly with the supports between the lifeboats.

The verandah-dividers can be opened by your stateroom host, not by yourself. So you will have to ask him/her to do this for you. It's not a big thing to do, so just ask and enjoy a double Verandah!
If you are looking at the port side deck 7 the cabin where it transitions from the standard balcony to the navigator balconies is cabin 7120 (the one that is partially obstructed). Just move forward from there and follow along with the deck plans and you can figure out which ones have the solid steel divider.

The balcony dividers are quite easy to open yourself. It's just a square opening that turns a latch. I've used anything from a butter knife to a pair of pliers to open them up. Disney's balcony divider doors are nice in that you can latch them open as well. Some ships we have been on the door just flaps around unless you use a bungie or something to secure it. Or, wait and ask the cabin steward. They will generally open them as well, but sometimes it can take a while as they are very busy particularly on turnaround day.
