Magic as Wide as a smile!10/28 Trip Report Link!!!!

:rotfl2: with Justin and the sign!!
I had problems with my AP last year...they said it was the magnetic closure on my VB wallet....This year I had remembered that and used a different wallet and it was okay. :confused3
TH has the same yummy juice as Boma right? I have only been there for lunch and it was good....good to get out of the heat that is...although that wasn't the case on this trip for you :sad2:
I have the same VB hipster as your niece...and that is the one I am currently using! :thumbsup2

Hehehe, love the picture of Justin with the sign to Asia. It's good that you all had a laugh about it. :thumbsup2

Did they recently change Donald not being part of the character rotation at Tusker House? It seems weird, kinda like what they do with the princesses at Akershush and of course Cinderella at CRT. It's weird.

:lmao: I actually made a whole scrapbook page around that picture!

I know when we went to TH in Oct they had Donald outside. I agree, it's weird! At least Belle at Akersaus and Cinderella at CRT interact. Donald you get like 30 seconds! When we first started taking the kiddos to WDW you met Donald at Chef Mickey's on your way out by the desert buffet. It was cute and he would play with the kids and hug them, etc. That was also when they still had Chip and Dale at Chef Mickey's! I miss them!

my kids would never go for the ziploc thing but I can see where it would be cool (course now I'm not sure outfits would even always fit) but it definitely works for a lot of folks.

:rotfl: on Justin's comment. that is priceless!!!

Fun morning so far, hope that EE isn't down :scared1:

:lmao: I'm way, way to OCD to give up control of packing! God knows I'd have a nervous breakdown with some of the stuff DH would pick! DD is fine with it because she approves it before I pack it! The boys couldn't care less what they wear on a daily basis!

:lmao: Justin was such a good sport about it and I felt so bad!

EE, I was totally prepared to ride it finally this trip! But, would I be able too? ;)

YAY for adding a night!!! It turns out we are so going to overlap with our trips WOOT!!!

Hmmmm...AK and Tusker House what a great morning!!! Love the pictures it looked like a great breakfast!!!! SO much fun must have been had!!!!!!

Looking forward to more!!

 I'm so, so excited that our trips are going to overlap again! We have to schedule more time this time!!!

We had a fabulous time at TH! It's such a yummy breakfast!

We love the ziploc trick! I even use it for camp and other trips, too. :thumbsup2 Can't wait to hear if you got to ride EE; I hope so!

I love ziploc bags for packing! I really wish I could fit a whole outfit for me in one! :lmao: I use them just about everytime we travel!

I was so excited to ride EE this trip! But would I be able to?!

:lmao: I will never, ever forget him telling me he could read the sign! :rotfl2: He was so good about it and felt like a jerk!

I bet that was the problem with my AP too!!!! I have to keep that in mind! I was going to get a little credit card case to keep them in before Oct, just in case!

They do have the same juice! It's yummy!

I have the same bag too! Between the girls, myself and Jen we had to coordinate our Vera's so we didn't have the same one and cause confusion! I was going to take my Bali Gold Mail Bag but I realized I needed a little more room. Ryan wasn't potty trained yet and I need pullups etc so we went with a backpack! I'm sooo excited not to have to carry a big backpack into the parks anymore! Now that he's potty trained it will be a lot lighter traveling!

We have to try to set up a meet!!!!

I had been wondering if characters gave their autographs at Character meals and you answered my question. Thanks!!! So is Tusker House your favorite CM?

Let me guess....there was ice on the track and the ride was down???? :rotfl: haha ....even I know it wasn't that cold!

Oh, I hope you get to ride. Breakfast sounded yummy and you got some great pictures of the kids! Way to go.

Great update!

They definitely do! So far the only one I've that doesn't is Donald at TH! Boo!

I really like TH but I think my favs are Chef Mickey's and the Crystal Palace!

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2: OMGoodness!!! I hadn't thought of that! :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl: No, it was quite that cold! Although I supposed you never know being higher up and metal tracks ;) No, really it started to warm up a little on that day! The cold wasn't as bitter and biting!

I was soooo excited to get on EE! Being a chicken I had completely hyped it up in my mind and was ready!!! But the million dollar question is did I get to ride?!

I have an update almost ready but I just don't have the time to finish right now! DH and I are dealing with a giant amount of drama with planning for a big sailing regatta this summer and I'm about to either pull my hair out or freak out at someone! Maybe both! It just makes dreaming of Oct even better! I'm going to need a break! I'll be back asap with the update!!!

Hey!! I am joining in!! Now, I am off to catch up! :)

Geez I could have sworn I commented on this update! :confused3 I love all your Tusker pictures, you can just tell you are all having such a good time.

Too funny with Justin and the sign to Asia. That picture is the best! :rotfl2:

Don't worry I do that all the darn time! I think I'm losing my mind :confused3

Tusker House was so much fun! I love that you can tell just from the pics how much fun they're having :lovestruc:cloud9: That's what I wanted from this trip!

Justin was a really good sport about the Asia thing!!!! :rotfl2:

I keep promising an update and I keep failing to provide! :surfweb: Sorry!

We've been so busy!

First, I'm going to vent a little! I mention nonsense at the yacht club a few times. Well, let me back up and preface the yacht club thing. I hate the term "yacht club" To me it sound snobby and pretentious! I picture men in blue blazers with captains hat, people sipping brandy, people calling each other darling! :lmao: It's not at all like that, really our club is a big shack that everyone prays will make it through the next big noreaster or wind storm. The boats that are sailed are no where near yacht they're tiny little Sunfish that the kids sail with 2 or 3 in 1 and grownups sail singlehanded

like this...

That's DD in the red life jacket.

DH grew up sailing, he taught lessons when we were in college and now DD sails! Much to her Daddy's delight :lovestruc DH still sails and is quite competitive in it. He spends a lot of time in the spring and summer on sailing stuff! Disney is kinda a consolation prize for me being a sailing widow, I can deal with that

Anyway, this summer the yacht club has 2 big events to plan for. August will be the 100th anniversary of the club and as a part that celebration we will be host the Sunfish North American Championships in July.

DH is in charge of setting everything up for the North Americans regatta and I've been helping him a lot. DH and the people who are setting up the 100th anniversary party wanted to get sponsors to off set the cost and put together a journal book with the sponsors ads in them, as well as info on the club etc.

A few months ago I said I would put together the book if they got me the info. Then I suddenly ended up in charge of the book! OK, no biggie! I can do it! Another women offered to help me gather all the stuff! She's been great and soooooo much help!

Well, another club member, someone who is an officer of the club, was supposed to be in charge of getting the sponsors. He swore up and down "I'll take care of the sponsors, no problem." "I'll take care of it!" etc, etc

Can you guess where this is going?

Apparently he did nothing!!! Not one thing! Notta! Zip! Zero! :scared1::eek::headache::mad:

Are you even kidding?!

So me and the my new BFF have spent the last several says days rallying club members to donate personally, drum up support from local business, etc. We've sent out probably 100 emails and just as many letters.

I spent the entire day the other day on this! from 8 am until 9:30 pm!!!!

It's become a full time job! I'll be super glad when it's over!

The regatta should pay for itself with registration etc but the 100th anniversary needs sponsors to pay for the cocktail party and family day that we're having !

That on top of all the end of the school year fun including a party in DS7's class that I'm in charge of, field trips, a presentation in DD's class tomorrow. This weekend is also a huge local festival that include a carnival and vendors etc. DD, DS7 and I spent 3 hours there the other night with some of their friends, we also all (including DS3 and DH) spent a few hours there yesterday walking around and eating! Last night we went to a minor league baseball game as part of DH's fathers day gift!

I'm totally exhausted now! I need a vacation!!!! I just keep think "less then 4 month until Disney World!" Of course, I'm also going away for the night next weekend with my 2 BFF's from college! :cheer2: I'm sooooooooooooo excited!

Anyway! Sorry this was so long but the venting felt good! :rotfl2: I have a TR update almost ready and a PTR update that I need to do! Hopefully I get on up today!!!!

Thanks for hanging in there with me!!!

Your post actually makes me glad I have a full time job. It makes it impossible to get sucked into something big like that. You are a real trooper for doing all that work. I am exhausted just reading about it!

Please feel free to vent anytime!

You deserve an award!!! Ugh. Sorry you got stuck with the fund raising and the sponser book. I guess everybody knows not to depend on "Mr. I'll-take-care-of-it" next time. You definitely deserve a trip to Disney World now. :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: You know, it's funny, I was thinking this morning "If I had a job I wouldn't be doing this right now!":lmao: Hmmm, maybe I can quick get one!!!

I'll definitely be glad when it's over!

Venting really helped! ;)

Men! ;)

Glad you feel better! :upsidedow

This guy is just so aggravating! UGH! I'd really like to give him a piece of my mind! :furious: but I won't!

Man! I hope things settle down soon.

I hope so too! We're definitely going to have a busy summer that's for sure!

:lmao: That's what I told DH!!!

I left off with us headed toward EE. Like I said in my last update, I knew something was wrong because I didn’t hear people screaming or the rumble of the ride cars.

As we approached I knew my fear was true. EE was not running! Boo!

There were all of these people standing around harassing the poor CM’s who had been assigned to wave off guests. People were so rude!!! Really, did they think these 2 kids had anything to do with it?! There was a technical problem and they weren’t really sure when it would be running again!

So we headed off toward Dinoland. Along the way we checked the showtime for the next Nemo show! It was still a good 45 or 50 minutes away so we decided to do a few things in the mean time!

DH took Dorothy, Johnny and Ryan into what Johnny calls “the Dinosaur Playground!” BIL took Justin and Julianna on Primevil Whirl and Jen, Jess and I went off in search of a bio-break!

After the little break Jen and Jess went to look in the shop in Dinoland and I wandered back toward the playground, of course taking pictures along the way!

When everyone but DH and the little ones were back together I called for DH so we could to Nemo!

We walked right into the auditorium and found seats all together in the second or so row from the middle walkway area! The kiddos enjoyed playing the find Nemo in the bubble and yell “There he is!” game! LOL!!

The show started shortly!

I have not one single picture because a certain little one loves to sit on Mommy’s lap during this show and fall asleep! I don’t know why but that show seems to be a sleeping pill to him!!! We’ve seen it 3 times now and all 3 times he’s fallen asleep!!!

I really enjoy this show, I think that Disney does the stage shows in the parks fabulously!!!

After Nemo we decided to head back toward EE to see if it was open yet or if there any hope of it opening soon!

Nope no EE! Not now! The CM’s weren’t sure if it would be opening anytime soon! Boo!!! I really, really wanted to ride this trip!

We decided to head toward the safari which was a 10 minute standby wait! I forgot to mention that the park was very empty that day! Very low wait times and no hoards of people!

Off on safari we go!! I didn’t have the best seat, which seems to be a reoccurring thing with our safari rides over the past few trips! Boo!!!

I managed to get a few pics...

We had an amazing journey and even saved a Momma and Baby Elephant from poachers!

After that was done we checked the time guide for the next FOTLK show! We had a little bit of time so we decided to have a snack! Ice cream all around! Yummy and just right to hold us over until dinner!

Then we were off to my very favorite show! FOTLK!!! I love this show!!!

It so well done and the performers are fabulous!!

After FOTLK we decided to head toward the front of the park! DH, BIL, Justin, Johnny, and Dorothy decided to see It’s Tough to a Bug! Jen, Jess, Jule, Ryan and I decided to do some shopping! I can’t really remember what we bought! I know I bought yet another sweatshirt. This one was lighter weight though! I also bought a little something for each kiddo because they had the Safari set of character figures that Ryan really liked!

After shopping and ITTBAB we headed out without ever riding EE! :sad1: I guess that will be left for another trip!
