I meant water to drink, thanks but I found it with a search from the cruise board.

$15 6 bottles with a soft cooler
$30 for a case of 24 thats 4 bottles free compared to the individual price.

We don't need that much. Just wondering...

We will be on the sail-away party- our daughter is looking foward to meeting yours as well. She'll be in a neon green t-shirt. We arrive in FL at 1pm on Saturday- keeping our fingers crossed we have no delays- We do have a layover in Dallas so weather shouldn't be a delay problem.

Are you letting your kids check in/out of kids club? I've been putting DD off - with, "we'll see" or "ask your dad"

Re the Texas marriage joke. This is the truth. I met my wife, Kelli at...............yes, a family reunion! No, she was not a cousin, but she was engaged to one of my cousins! No, I did not break them up. It was two years later before we got married. But the whispers in the family go on still! Does this qualify me as a Genuine Redneck? (That has always been one of my lifes ambitions.) I am not a big NASCAR fan, so that usually disqualifies me! I get enough driving excitement riding as a passenger with Kelli!

I finally packed most of my stuff! Yippeee!

Go ahead, take your shots with the Cowboy jokes. I have heard them all! I have even repeated a few! BUT! Over the past 25 or 30 years, It has been great fun being a Cowboy fan. There is not much middle ground with Dallas. Most people either love em or hate em! But like I said, 5 Super Bowl wins, and a couple of near wins to boot. It has been a fun ride.

Oops, gotta go. There was just an announcement over the building PA system.
" Would the lady that left her 11 kids in the parking lot, please come get them? They are beating Dallas 21-0."

...we are going to make the kids some T-Shirt to wear for the flight there and for boarding the ship.

As you already know, the Cruise is a surprise for the kids. Mike's (DH) idea is to print up a shirt that they will wear on Friday, that tells them where they are going. They would get this t-shirt at 4 am on Friday morning as we are getting ready to go to the airport.

I was hoping that you guys could help us come up with something great to put on the t-shirts for both Friday and Saturday.

I have to run to the craft store and pick up some t-shirts.

Hey guys............not on vacation yet, just did all the "home things"......stop postal delivery at both houses, finally winterize pool, move corvette to old house, (my dad is installing ceiling tile in our lower leval while we are gone and he's going to make a mess in the garage.....a black car gets dirty fast) went to the store and got 3 books of stamps......then realized.......we'll be in Mexico......can I use u.s. postage? Picked up some extra sun screen. and a small can of off.......I guess the mosquitoes are bad in GC and Cozumel due to the standing water from hurricanes (make sence?).....It's 63 here and you should have seen the look on the lady at the cash register when I checked out the tanning lotion........she said "going on a trip" and I replied "nope it's going to be warm here the next couple of days.....you can't be too careful!" LOL

Bought our own snorkel gear for DS and I
and got some golf balls for playing in GA friday.
We are leaving Cincinnati thursday 6.30pm after DD's Cheerleading class.

Suitcases are nearly done, thanks to my well organized wife.

And my car is put away.....unless it does not rain tomorrow.
remember it is not as much fun as go fast- turn left- go fast.
As it is push the pedel ,clutch,pedel, down shift, turn left, pedel clutch, pedel, clutch,pedel, turn right (swing the back out a little) floor it!
That is why they call them sport cars, they are begging to be driven! DRIVERS WANTED! no armchairs needed!

Now that smoking is allowed all day in Diversions, is this going to be a problem for our nightly DIS Meets?
I defer to you guys that are familiar with the ship. Having never been there, I do not know how big the place is. Will this be the place all of the smokers go? It used to be that smoking was limited to the bar area and after 9:00PM, I think. Now it looks like it is pretty much unlimited? I don't want to start a debate about smoking. I just don't want to have some of our folks "smoked out" of a meet!
I guess we could have a backup meeting place, if Diversions looks too smoky! Maybe Cove Cafe or Sessions. Or are they also smoking allowed in the evening?

We prefer a non smoking enviroment ourselves
What we have done before is to enjoy the Comedians and shows and when it gets too bad for us we leave. Another suggestion would be to meet on one of the Decks. We can collect enough drinks during the day so that we can enjoy at night.

My DH is allergic to smoke, so I think a smoke free are would be better. A deck meeting would be fine with us!

I did just double check, and the smoking is limited to the bar area of the club. Like you guys, if I have a choice, NS wins for me. I can tolerate smoke, but I know some just cannot. I would hate that some of our DIS folks did not come because of this. I also would be saddened if someone chose not to come because they wanted TO smoke. I guess it is the age old debate!
The deck idea sounds good, too. Didn't I read that the Cove Cafe has an inside and outside area?
Anybody else have suggestions? Lampy?

Lampy must be selling a fleet of cars this afternoon. He has not posted for a couple of hours!LOL

Willie......just crossing all my tee's and dotting iiii's here at work. Plus theat TF thread has been busy........Just purchased a new camera for DW Kim so she can "scrap" with digital photos.....I guess our old one isn't good enough.....less than 23 hours we're in route to Indy and less than 73 WE'LL BE SAILING!!!!!!!!

We'd prefer a smoke free area if possible. I don't care for smoky areas but I can tolerate them for a little while. I do know Sunday night DH will want to be in Diversions watching the Packer game!

Well back to the laundry and finalizing of DD clothes. 3 nights from now we'll be on the ship!!!!!!!!

Bailey is really looking forward to meeting your DD also. Yes, we will probably give her checkout privledges, she's very responsible and will need to follow a few rules that we have.

She has to have a friend to check out with... no friends then stay in the lab and page us.
Our kids are not to just "roam" the ship. They can check out as long as we know where they are going, such as scoops for ice cream, or a movie.
They are not allowed in anyone elses cabin.
If we catch them lingering, causing trouble, or roaming the ship they get their privledges revoked.

We find it very irriatating when kids congregate in the stairs, run up and down the halls etc...

Are we all ready for another tip from "Lampy"? Any pre opened bottles of shampoo, tan lotion etc. take the lid off put some plastic wrap over the opening and screw the cap back on......then zip lock it!


One last one.........MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH IN YOUR "CARRY ON" TO LAST YOU 'TILL AFTER THE DECK PARTY/DIS MEET.........Looks like the ship is close to sold out.....we didn't get our luggage in our room 'till 5:30 last year...............Just for all you first timers!!!

Doogie........I am a Finance Director of an automobile dealership....

We let the DDs and 12 pretty much do what they want.....they are responsible and have already sailed 3 times with DCL so they know the ship inside and out. DD14 Jessica WILL be in the internet cafe if we can't find her and Alli is Moms "velcro child". But this time they are bringing friends Neither have EVER been in the "labs" on any other sailing.
