Maggie Sottero Dress

Just wanted to give a heads up to any fellow DISbrides who may be awaiting a Maggie Sottero dress delivery...

If you have taken a peek at my PJ, you would have read the drama that has been getting my Sottero & Midgely dress. I ordered it October 17 and it was supposed to be here February 5th. It arrived last Friday (April 18)...so approx. ten weeks late. There has been lots of back and forth between my bridal salon and the designer and with whom the blame lies. A Maggie rep has told us that it is not the salons fault and that they have been having major problems with the factory and that many dresses are very behind!!!!

So, if you are waiting for a dress from MS and you are approaching (or past) your delivery date, get on your salon as I kept being told it was on the way. Hoping nobody has to go through the same headache as me!

I ordered mine the end of August or beginning of Sept and was told 6-8 months and I have not received mine yet. I called the other day and they told me the first part of May. I am not getting married until May 2009 so I am in no hurry but yes it is taking awhile to get the dress.

Holy cow! I ordered my MS at the end of October and it was in at the beginning of February. They were cutting it awfully close for your May wedding (our's is May 5th.)

I ordered my MS dress in March. The bridal shop told me it should be in by the end of July - hopefully they are right.

I ordered mine Oct 11 and just received it on April 10. My friend had also ordered a MS in Dec for her wedding in May. When I told her what happened to me she called her store and it turns out that the manufacturer had the dress done but they were holding it until the shipping date that the store had set. So they shipped it that day when the store called.

So you may want to have your store call and see if the dress is done and they're just holding it.

im planning on ordering a maggie sottero next week and my weddings oct 23!
that gives me exactly 6 months.. im really worried now.

Wow, I ordered my MS dress at the beginning of last August and my shop got the dress during the later half of November. My wedding is May 31st so I've had my dress for a while. I hope everyone gets there dress soon with no unexpected delays.

I ordered mine in January and they told me it would be in around August/September as there was a backlog at the supplier. We're not getting married until next year so plenty of time for us.

I'm getting really worried now. I only ordered mine a couple of weeks ago and was told it would be in at the start of august - our wedding is this september. I think i'll phone the shop tomorrow and find out whether they know of this backlog and what will happen if my dress doesnt appear in time

Oooo, that's cutting it a bit fine! I called the shop a few weeks ago for an update and they said they hadn't had any updates to the delivery so they were still looking at August/September. They told me it was usually at least 5 to 6 months usually.

My daughter ordered her maggie dress one week ago and she got a call from
the shop today. They said her dress would be delivered in August. I warned her
not to get too optimistic about that date but there should be plenty of time since the wedding
is planned for summer 2009. Here's hoping everyone
gets their gown on time!
