Maggie is having her surgery this morning. . .*update pg3-good news*

I talked to Maggie again last night. . . and she was already home!!!

Seems the surgery started at 8am and lasted 3 hours. . . and they found 2 seperate hernias, not just one; but both were repaired sucessfully and thankfully they didn't find anything else out of the norm. . .


They had assigned her to a room with the intention of keeping her overnight, but after she talked to me the doctor came in and after asking her a few questions he told her she could go home if she wanted to. . . although it might have been a bit premature, the weather there was a factor- it was cold and rainy and they were worried it would turn to ice overnight, so her family got her home while the roads were still good. . .

So, she was home safe and sound, and although she was hurting and still a little groggy from the anesthesia, she was in good spirits and happy to be home and have the surgery behind her. . .

I told her about the wonderful messages that were posted here. . it will probably be at least a couple days yet before she can sit up at the computer, so she asked me to let everyone know she is very touched and grateful, and that she'll check in as soon as she's able . . .

I'm up and around, much slower than I had anticipated , but very grateful to have recieved the surgery, come through it well and on the road to recovery!
