Well I had no problem tonight booking 6 of us at many of the Character Meals in February.

No problem, except for Cinderella's Royal Table which was totally booked up for our entire stay. I was slightly disappointed that they don't have a "waiting list" for those that must cancel. Since my wife and daughter are the real ones that want to go this do you think I would have a better change with a party of 2?

Also there was only 930 seating at the Hoop Dee Doo Review.

Extremely popular restaurants such as CRT get booked very early. Perhaps calling a little earlier would of gauranteed a seating?:flower3:

Yup! I should of booked this 2 months ago when I made the reservations (if they had seats then). I'm going to call every day to see if there is any cancellations. Its worth a shot but not likely to change any things.

What day & time are you looking for?

There is a need/cancel thread here somewhere. I'm searching for an ADR myself. Good Luck!

I'd book Akershus, Norway in Epcot for now if you can get it and then try back every day for CRT. We liked the princess interaction at Akershus. There were many of them. It's not the same as CRT but a close second. We're just doing this one in July since it's only 1 point and CRT is 2. Good luck!

I second this thought....

Yes the castle is special....but if you can't get it Akershus is really
outstanding....
The setting is beautiful....you feel like you are in a castle also..
food was good....I thought the character interaction was even better.

I made my dining reservation in November for our Feb trip (5-12) and there was only one reservation for CRT, an 8:10p.m. I booked it and then canceled it not too long afterward because I didn't want to risk a 4y.o and that late time.

If you call the week or so before your trip, that is when i hear alot of people cancel or do last minute changes. good luck, We booked our last trip Nov 02 for Feb 07, and the first week of Nov the CRT was already all booked up. this year, i made sure to book early(Actually booked 170 days and still had a few choices available)

also do ALOT of calling at your 60 day mark!! I'd try at the 90 day mark as well, just keep calling - calling early in the morning and later at night...

the more persistant you are the better chances you will have - and it really isnt better to call for a table of 2, CRT has just a few tables of 2, they have many more tables of 4 - which is where they seat parties of 3... so keep calling

I called back at 10PM last night to book another reservation and asked if they had space for a party of 2. She took a look and found a spot for a party of 6. Unbelievable!!!! When just a few hours there was NOTHING!

I agree Akerhus is VERY nice. We went there last year and have rebooked this as well. Even my pre-teen son wants to go there because he really likes the food.

Regarding CRT... when you say the characters don't interact, do you mean they don't sign autograph books and take pictures? I'm concerned that it does take 2 table services. Is it worth it?

When are you going? Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner?

Yes, for breakfast and lunch they come around a sign and you can take picutes. We did this for lunch November 2006. We enjoyed it and it's something we had to do once but we ended up paying out of pocket instead of using 2 TS points. This time we will just do the one in Norway for 1 point again.

I haven't been to CRT, but if I remember correctly, only the Fairy Godmother is their at Dinner. I'm sure this would not be too difficult to determine?

My daughter is 3 1/2, and Ariel is her favorite character, so we are just doing the Storybook breakfast, to see the "other" princesses.

Hope this helps!

At dinner at the CRT Cinderella is in the lobby for taking pictures, but no autographs. Upstairs in the Dining Room you have the Fairy Godmother and Suzy and Perla (the mice). There are no other characters. They do not ciruclate for pictures and autographs like they do at breakfast and lunch. They do a "celebration" show which is a few minutes long, but that is it. You may be disappointed if your expectations were otherwise. Be sure you still want to go.
