Since I might be moving, I decided to get rid of some stuff around the house. Between ebay, craigslist and gold buyer, I have made $1000 in two short weeks. I found some old broken bracelets that I have to send in also so I might actually more than that.

Funny thing is that most of my ebay sales ($510) came from DDs closet:scared1:

That's awesome! I haven't tried selling any kids clothes on Ebay yet. Can you tell me, did you sell items individually or as a group of items? I have a ton of stuff to get rid of and would love to make some money for our next Disney trip.

It's been a year since I sold on ebay, so I am certainly not the expert at it. DD had some name brand clothes and I grouped them by brands. Only one lot didn't get any bids, but I suspect I made that lot too big. I had lots with one pair of pants and a couple of matching tops. Shipping has changed since I sold last time too so I had to figure that out ahead of time. I always ship with delivery confirmation in case there is a dispute through paypal, the seller seems to loose if they can't prove they shipped it.

Congratulations!! Wow, that's a coup!

I have had eBay as a second job for YEARS. This has by far been my worse year for sales, people are really holding onto their money. The economy is great for buyers, not so much for the sellers, especially those who use it for income.

I used to make a killing by selling my son's stuff, no more -- he's 17 and doesn't outgrow stuff anymore. I'm looking forward to the 4th quarter which starts the last week of September, it's when I get the bulk of my sales because people start SPENDING again. :thumbsup2

I was really worried too, if anything would sell. Compared to previous years, there wasn't a crazy last minute bidding war except with one item, but people seemed to have placed their bids early and stuck to their max. bid. I even chose a good ending time where people would be home. Oh well, I am glad with how much I made from stuff laying in her closet.

Congrats! That is great!

I made about $400 last week on ebay selling a bunch of "junk" we just had laying around. Some of it was leftover yard-sale things but most were DD's outgrown clothing and shoes! We re-did her closet before school started and she had SO MUCH stuff she couldn't wear - some with tags even still there!

I figure if I average $10 per listing for stuff that is just taking up space in my house, then I've done a relatively good job, and I've been exceeding that goal. :)

Next up are a few Halloween costumes - I think they'll go up this weekend or next. I'm looking forward to clearing out some clutter and making some cash (and I really can't decide which one I'm more excited about!).

Wow that is incredible! :thumbsup2

I discovered the joys of craigslist, myself, this week. I was going to have a yard sale last weekend then decided why did I want to give up one of my TWO days off a week to MAYBE make a little money. Most of my stuff was larger items (an entertainment center, bunk beds, etc..) All total I have made: $331 from a few posts online :yay: Since all my larger stuff sold quickly I just bagged up the clothes and the smaller toys and donated them to a local church run thrift shop. Now my house is cleaned out and I have a little unexpected money to play (Christmas shop) with LOL I am giving my kids a little over $100 of it though. They each got rid of one rather large item from their rooms and I told them they could have the money for their item. So that's about $35 each, they will be tickled.
